Land Back to Indigenous Communities is needed for Mother Earth to thrive. Does she need us?
Not really but if we continue the exploitation of natural resources we will end ourselves. I am learning to decolonize and deconstruct from the system that has been oppressive towards indigenous melanated communities and please note that l am here to fight against the powers that were, using my voice. The same ones trying to erase Borikén and its ancestry from its indigenous culture. I bring forth some awareness and you can call me all the names in the book, 1 get it. I have been called a rat by my own "sibling" so I'm used to it. I am also teaching my children/offspring about the importance of self love, self acceptance and to be aware of the YT washing and erasure of the lands.
Something that is not taught in schools. Colonialism never ended and some are rooted in it and it is our job as conscious citizens of Mother Earth to help others.
Now we can't force we can only teach and by teaching some will get trigger and that trigger will either help awaken or just plant the seed. Either way when you are awaken and you know what you know, you can't be silent, because that's selfish and it's also being complicit to what's going on. You are all welcomed here to learn to get inspired and motivated to know where you truly come from... If you claim to be indigenous please learn to step away from the word Latin. That name was created by the colonizers. Look at this (lat means to let and in well means in like inside) so (latin : let in) the colonizers are letting you in to the country. Which is so ironic considering the fact that most of the countries were colonized by outside entities.

Thanksgiving is not what you think it is! I too was brainwashed into thinking it was a day to celebrate and give thanks. What I did not know was the atrocities committed around that time. The colonizers betraying the indigenous population into genocide and stealing from them.

Have you been lied to about your roots? About the true name of your country? What about your flag? What does it truly look like? This is Boriken, the true name of the country before the colonizer named it “Puerto Rico” which means rich port. Jee I wonder why they named it that?
