Just a quick sneak peek at my next video—a big reception counter build I was hoping to post this weekend. Unfortunately, it’s going to be delayed a bit. I’ve got two unwell ladies at home right now, so time for editing is pretty limited.

I really appreciate everyone who continues to watch and engage with the videos. Since I stopped posting the house content, I’ve lost around 800 subscribers—but to those of you who’ve stuck around, thank you so much. It genuinely means a lot.

I know it’s been almost 70 days since my last video. I have a new video coming Sunday 6pm (GMT). It’s a video with a slightly different vibe to the others, but it’s still part of this journey. I would appreciate it if you could set a reminder. Would love your feedback. The channel needs to evolve for regular content. Keen for your constructive criticism once the videos out.

Hey everyone
Thanks for following me so far. The slow motion renovation would have been a more fitting channel name 😂.
With YouTube still being alien to me. The more effort I put in. The less I get out of it. The alcove video was one of pure effort over months and it fell so flat. Not enough click bait for YouTube? I have no idea.
Seeing as tho the effort isn’t winning over YouTube I’m thinking of posting a q&a. So get your questions to me in the comments.
More regular videos might work.
This one seems like an easy video to make that won’t ruin my weekly childcare routine

I just want to take a moment to thank everyone. I’ve been away working so I’ve not been able to reply to everyone.

I’ve been making these videos for over a year. With the soul purpose of friends and family being able to keep up to date with how the move was going. Not only that, I could watch them back in the future and reminisce on one of my own biggest leaps.

With life moving at a million miles an hour. I have been contemplating giving up on the YouTube videos. Starting off with absolute zero knowledge on video production. As much as I actually enjoy sitting down and making them. The hours it takes to make I just don’t have. Yes the videos are of a very poor quality at the start of the renovation, but I do feel like ive found my grove with it.

Yes i will turn the music down a bit more for those who have mentioned it. I can’t get rid of it. 90% of my footage is a Timelapse with no sound at all. I don’t have the equipment or computing power to take solid videos for hours on end. That being said the extra hours of editing that would require.

Thank you so much for all the positive comments and words of advice. I did manage to read all the comments last night. Only to find a few hundred more,now I’ve finished work,this evening.

I will continue to make the videos. The fact that so many of you viewed and commented on the last one was totally unexpected.

Lucky to get 2000 views in the past. This video has had me hit 70,000 views including the back catalog in 2 days. That’s crazy!!

My target was 40,000 that I set myself last year.
One goal achieved. I guess I should keep going now I’ve got my own little community of supporters from all over the world.

This week has been a week. Not in a good way.

I have spent my daughter’s nap time to throw together a video. Personally. It’s not great. I think it would be better to wait for a better quality video. I can try get it uploaded but the last few video have taken 8+ hours to upload.

Hey guys.

So it’s been a crazy week. Probably the busiest week I’ve had working on the house to date.

Due to this I haven’t been editing the video, on the regular, through the week.
As I’ve been at the house until it gets too dark to see. (No electricity)

It’s difficult because all 3 of us are sharing a room with my computer I make these videos on.

I will try my very best to put a video out tomorrow. That being said I have more footage than normal. Normally I have to spend at least 6 hours editing through the week. I shall do my best to get something out.

Worst case scenario a shall post something next week as soon as I can.

This is the most difficult project I have ever undertaken.
It’s not just a random guy doing up a dilapidated building.
It’s a random guy trying to make a home for his family as soon as possible.
Family always comes first.
We are desperate to move in.

So I’m not going to be putting out a video this week.

I’ve only had 3 hours working on the house this week due to work, childcare, illness, and traffic.
A bit of wall paper scraping and some sweeping up will not make for good viewing.
I am amazed by how many people are watching so thank you.
Next week’s episode should be a slightly longer one. I should have an entire 4 days next week to tackle some jobs.

I’m planning on doing a little update vid by the end of the week. We have been waiting for the 27th of March to arrive for 8 weeks now. We have had high hopes. But they have been smashed down once again. So the 27th doesn’t look like it’s going to be a good news day after all. Only time will tell. I shall try get a video up by Sunday.
