Nightreign was okay, I definitely still feel all the problems base ER has PvE wise but without the cool part of exploration, but having to "rush" a build with rng setups on an rng map sounds very fun as a game to play between work and other stuff.
Hopefully this build is an old one, because dear lord it feels like it used ER 1.04 as base for weapons moveset and such. This plus lack of crouch button makes some weapon classes basically unusable.
I'd still say the game is fine for 40 bucks, but they need to really nail variety to make it remotely interesting past hour 10-15.
Also playing with randoms is ass (still got 3 Gladius kills in 2 session tho, so can't complain too hard ig)
I swear the DkS3 crucifixion woods "players" trying to stunt the same bullshit on ER should be studied in antropology or something, as "failure of the evolution system" kek
Did a super small cameo in this splendid Illusorywall video, which talks about one of the best mechanics ever thought by FromSoft
Give it a watch, it goes very in-depth about the best and worst parts of this covenant and how it could've been changed in the next titles if it wasn't scrapped as a whole
