I couldn't sleep too well last night so I'm up early. Yesterday I received my replacement HELLE VIKING puukko knife after receiving a steak knife in HELLE packaging a few days ago through Amazon; hence the video below. Not HELLE's fault - I blame Amazon and the scammer who's replacing premium knives with cheap steak knives and getting away with it. Anyhow, enough of my rambling. I'm over it.

My rendition on a simple utilitarian frontier rifleman’s knife before the government provided one as part of his issued kit. Original rifleman’s knives were butcher knives, daggers, hunting knives, or what ever they could make, buy, or have made by a blacksmith. The blades were often narrow - this one is about 1-inch wide. It was a tool, a weapon if necessary, and worn on the belt.
