As of today, Diamond has been with us for 3 weeks. Yesterday, we got her under a rider. She rode well…. Albeit rather annoyed to be doing it. And she did was a bit cinchy…. Wanted to kick when the girth was cinched.
I worked with her today just doing groundwork and messing with the girth during groundwork so she could get used to it. We are suspecting a previous owner may have been not so gentle when cinching, but are also ruling out an ulcer just in case.
I cannot yet ride her as I don’t have a saddle that fits both of us, but a new saddle is coming our way! The rider said she’s a good girl and will be awesome once she gets used to it!

Diamond had her first farrier visit with us today…. She did amazing! I was a little nervous as to how she’d behave (being a rescue and a little tense with new people) but she even relaxed into it. Good girl!
