Long time no see!
Recently I took part in a singing contest held at my university, and got 4th place among 740 amazing singers. Here are some shots from the finals that were held yesterday! If any of you are interested in seeing what it was like to watch me perform live, I could share some snippets of the performances I’ve been doing for the past month. With the contest over, I’ll finally be going back to my little home studio to work on my solo projects and some very exciting collabs. Dear friends,
I am thrilled to finally share my first ever soundtrack, Kutlukaya, composed for an animation project about the Epic of Migration from Turkic mythology!
Kutlukaya, The Sacred Stone, radiates life and warmth for the community surrounding it. However, when they dismantle it to construct a palace, life wanes and chaos ensues, forcing the people to embark on a journey in search of a new home. After weeks of travelling through harsh and treacherous landscapes, they find a lush land and decide to settle down.
The cover photo captured by Sarper on April 2022 reflects the resilience of life amid difficulties. The girl (yours truly) kneeling to pick a flower surrounded by the blooming nature symbolizes paying respect to those lost during the great famine that led to their inevitable exodus, building upon the legacy they left behind.
The song itself is not intended to take the center stage. Instead, it accompanies the narrator's storytelling and aims to enrich the breathtaking visuals of the story. The animation will be available on @YADA.animation tomorrow, and we're really excited to share this moving story with you!
