Hershberger's Miracle Homestead
"Be the reason someone smiles today!" is our goal for our channel and hope you will be encouraged in some way. We are the Hershberger sisters, Martha and Dorothy and we grew up in an Amish/Mennonite home, but more importantly we are Christians. We are full-time caregivers for our special needs brother, Marvin (Buddy), who is also Martha's twin. Buddy has been brain damaged since birth. He is basically non-verbal and also has dealt with epilepsy since he was 16 years old.
We enjoy all kinds of "kitchen action" including sharing recipes and also container gardening which is basically what our videos are about. We conclude each video with an "Inspirational Golden Thought".
We post a daily short called "Chirping a Verse for the Day".

We all have times when there seems to not be enough hours in a day to get things done. That is how our life has felt this week plus a few long nights because Buddy wasn't able to sleep. What did you do and how were you blessed this Christmas season? We didn't have a cold, white Christmas. However, that did not diminish the joy we had celebrating the Son of God who came as a babe and is the Light of the World. We both relaxed at home this Christmas spending special time with Buddy - watching Christmas movies and enjoying good food. We are continuing our "vacation" through this week so there will be no video today. We'll see you in 2026! - Martha and Dorothy
