I’ve got some exciting updates for you! But first, a huge welcome to all the new subscribers! Thank you so much for joining – your support means the world to me.
On to the updates:
🚨 No new videos this week – but don’t worry, it’s for a good reason! I’m currently deep in preparation for our very first Creature Feature Week, happening next week! Expect 4-5 videos (one each day) spotlighting a single creature in great detail. It’s going to be epic! 🌟
And… a new series is in the works!
📖 Introducing Fairy Tales Retold – by popular request, we’re bringing classic fairy tales to the channel! These stories will be expanded, with more detail and length, while staying true to the darker, original versions. Expect these to be more of an audio experience, allowing the storytelling to really shine. The estimated launch is in October, just in time for those cozy, spooky vibes. 🎃

***Updates***
-Creature 101 videos will be moved to Tuesdays this is due to a schedule change on my end and to make sure I have time to do my final reviews of the video and the bestiary page before they are released.
-Animation: There has been "some" animation in shorts and long form videos already (but not through the entire video). For the sake of being transparent- the software I need costs. The channel is very close to becoming monetized and once that happens it will help cover some of the costs and animation will be the first thing happening.

Someone asked for fairytale videos and honestly this is something I have wanted to bring to the channel since I started it. So my question is- how would you all like the format to be? I am always interested in everyone's feedback and want to make sure you are enjoying the videos.
To better explain the options:
-Shorts: Stories condensed in 60 seconds.
-Shorter long form version: How current videos are done. This means just like the 101 videos with a bunch of pictures (probably of characters and scenes).
-Longer long form version: True to the original story but rewritten to be more detailed and longer. There will probably be less pictures (but there will still be some) to put more focus on the story itself.

Just a quick update—
The 101 videos will be slightly different going forward. I will no longer be including books, movies, etc., featuring the creature within the video. Instead, they will now be on a brand new creature page!
I always thought it would be cool to make a Bestiary. So, every week with a 101 video, I will also be releasing a page for that creature. It will include things like:
Strengths
Weaknesses
Range
Documented sightings I could find
Variations (if any)
All the books/movies I could find featuring that creature

Some additional options were pointed out to me. So, I am reposting it and asking the question with two more options.
What would you prefer?
Creature videos on a random schedule- which is what they are now.
A week dedicated to a particular creature.
A mix of both. I assume the dedicated weeks would be for creatures with a lot more lore and more content to cover. Example: Dragon Week which would cover European, Chinese, and Japanese Dragons. As well as deeper dives into topics about this creature.
Monthly themes. This would be looking at a specific lore like Celtic, Norse, Japanese, and so on. Then covering the creatures within these cultures lore over the span on a month.

I would first like to welcome all of the new subscribers. Thank you so much for showing your support for the channel.
I would like to also thank everyone who voted in the poll. Animation in videos was the overwhelming winner. So, I will start working towards that first. They will be small at first and will probably be vector animations with some motion, and pop-up/parallax style animations. It will probably take a month or two for it to start showing up in videos as I make videos ahead and I have some figuring out to do.
I would also like to share the roadmap with you all:
-Animation in Videos (Started)
-1 Additional Video a week (3 videos a week in total)
-Custom Art Work in Videos
And lastly I have created a Google Form if any of you want to request a creature and/or topic. I'm not sure if anyone will use it or not. But, I wanted it to be there as an option in case someone did have a creature they really wanted to see.
