I know this is crunch time for the WNBA. Rosters have to be set before the start of the regular season in less than one week. I know players must be waived/cut. But I never thought one of those players would be Chicago Sky’s Hailey “HVL” Vanlith. HVL, after putting up stellar numbers in the preseason, was waived by the franchise.

According to ESPN’s Kendra Andrews, HVL, “is in active conversation with a number of different teams.”

On a happier note: The Sky has signed free agent veteran guard and fan fave Natasha Cloud to a one-year contract for $555K.

Former beauty queen and reality tv star Kenya Moore is down bad.

If being fired from her long-time Real Housewives of Atlanta gig wasn’t bad enough, Kenya is experiencing very public legal and financial woes.

Recently, the contents of her Atlanta-based salon were placed outside the result of a dispute with her landlord over missed rent payments.

According to media reports citing legal documents, the landlord sued Kenya for failure to pay. Kenya countersued stating the landlord owed her money for the cost of renovation which totaled approximately $80K.

The judge ordered Kenya to pay the landlord two payments of $44K in addition to the monthly rent of $5.5K or vacate the property.

According to the landlord, Kenya has done neither.

So here we are…

Kenya did make an exclusive statement to TMZ saying a whole lot of nothing, never mentioning why she didn’t remove the items from the salon before the landlord did.

Amid the all the Minnesota Gophers and Amaya Battle toxic banter, I’d like to remind folks of a few things you may not know or may have forgotten.

The squad’s four starters are from Minnesota. The same Minnesota that suffered the ICE invasion. The same Minnesota where two US citizens were m**dered by agents of the government. The same Minnesota where ICE agents were housed just blocks away from Williams Arena (The Barn) which attracted nightly protests as a result.

And despite all the chaos, all the possible distractions, they balled out leading the team to one of its best seasons in decades and a Sweet 16 berth.
