I apologize for being quiet on here; I’ve been deep into my studies. While I was out collecting specimens for an herbarium, I came across some Staghorn Sumac. It was in the perfect stage to harvest its berries to make a tart drink; it’s a family tradition. #sumac #rhus #lemonade #forage #native

These are my beliefs. I don’t believe in all love and light, I believe in balance. I believe there is worth and beauty in darkness. Light is warm and dark is cool. Not considering darkness can be harmful. The sun is light and the moon is darkness. We tend to show light to others and hide our darkness. I believe light can be created from darkness by acknowledging the dark so we can heal and connect with others. From darkness comes transformation.
