Surviving the Daily

The concept of EDC reflects an individual's mindset of readiness and adaptability in their day-to-day life. It's important for each person to tailor their EDC items to their unique needs and circumstances. The goal is to strike a balance between practicality, functionality, and personal comfort. The specific items included in an EDC kit can vary widely depending on personal preferences, lifestyle, and individual needs. I hope while sharing my EDC, I can inspire others and help them refine their own.

So yeah… Tunenge sent over the S22.

Did I need another flashlight?
No.

Did I immediately start testing turbo in my house like I’m signaling aircraft?
Also yes.

It’s currently $26.99, which honestly makes this thing dangerously reasonable.

You’re getting:
• 1,200 lumens (because subtlety is overrated)
• UV (for reasons you’ll pretend are practical)
• COB side light
• Magnetic tail
• USB-C
• “Tactical” mode

Now… let’s talk real.

The tail switch UI?
It has personality. And by personality, I mean it occasionally makes you question your life choices.

The pocket clip?
Let’s just say it has room for growth.

But for $26.99?
This is a ridiculous amount of flashlight for the money.

Full review here if you want to see me argue with a tail switch:

Be honest… how many flashlights do you actually carry? And why is the answer “more than necessary”?

New Video: Mossy Oak Budget Outdoor Gear

Today I’m taking a look at:

⏱ 0:47 – Mossy Oak 7" Folding Saw
⏱ 2:50 – Mossy Oak 21-in-1 Multi-Tool

Both are affordable Amazon options. The saw comes in around $14, the multi-tool around $27 at the time of filming.

Are they premium? No.
Are they usable? That’s what we’re figuring out.

Would you put budget tools in your bugout bag, or is that one area you won’t compromise?

I’ve always said Felissa is one of the best budget knife brands under $20…

So when Great Star reached out, I had to see if they still hold up.

Two knives.
Both under $20.
One surprised me more than the other.

Are budget blades worth it — or is this false economy?

So remember when I said I’d NEVER spend $70 on a wallet?
Yeah. About that.
Apparently I’ve decided we’re just lighting money on fire now… but make it handmade and saddle stitched.

I bought the WILDR Hitchhiker.
Handmade in North Carolina. Smells like responsibility. Costs like poor decision-making.

And I regret nothing.

Question for you degenerates:
Are we calling this “supporting American craftsmanship”
or “midlife crisis in leather form”?

Pocket dump time 👊

I swapped to a new tabletop and needed to dial in my camera settings, so I figured why not do a real-world test with an EDC pocket dump.

This is what I’ve been carrying lately — knives, lights, tools, and all.

Be honest… how many knives is TOO many? 😅

Small fixed blade knives are awesome for fifth-pocket carry…
until you actually try to use them.

I picked up a super simple hardware-store trick that adds grip and control to small fixed blades without modifying the knife at all—and it costs just a few bucks.

This one surprised me with how well it works.

Would you try this on your EDC knife, or do you prefer them clean and stock?

I’ve been carrying the Lochby Field Sling for a few days now, mainly as a compact way to carry an iPad Mini without wearing a backpack.

This isn’t a full review yet — just early impressions — but I’m liking the simplicity so far. Waxed canvas, subtle organization, and no tactical overload.

If you carry an iPad Mini, would you rather use a sling like this or stick with a backpack? 👇
