"World of Nintendo" is a tribute to Nintendo. It showcases my Nintendo collection and various Nintendo franchises such as Super Mario, Legend of Zelda, and Metroid. I have been a Nintendo fan since 1987 and began collecting seriously in 2006.
I'm at a point (age) when I'm no longer up for the madness (or anxiety) of online preorders or standing in line for hours waiting for a midnight console release.
So for Switch 2, I took a "whatever happens, happens" approach, especially since I will be leaving for a trip to Japan soon and won't have time to dig into Mario Kart.
Today I stopped by my local Target around 10:45 for a travel umbrella. Of course, I had to check out the gaming aisle, just to see. Imagine my surprise when I saw several consoles caged behind the register! My first thought was that they were preorders, but when I asked... Nope! Open for anyone to purchase! I can't remember any Nintendo console so easily available without a preorder or midnight release since the Super NES in 1991.
Needless to say, I picked one up today, but it will wait until I get back from my trip.
I admit that as I get older I pay less attention, but am I correct that in the past 10 years there have been only two releases in the Super Mario series and that the 40th anniversary is upon us and Nintendo hasn't acknowledged it?
I was thinking of adding "My Top 10 Favorite Games for X Console" videos to the rotation. Would you be interested in that type of content on my channel?
I just unboxed the latest addition to my Nintendo Unboxed playlist: Virtual Boy! Where do you think you would spend the most time playing this unique console/portable hybrid?

Also, I forgot to get the umbrella.
