Got death threats over this image. What I don’t understand is that the people who sent it obviously agree with me on the fact that the heavy sexualization of women in the publishing industry is bad, what I wish more people understand is that mocking =\= condone. This is mockery. I’m quoting this sentence from my instagram comments because I don’t know how to explain it in English.

A few of my older followers mentioned the lawsuit my family filed over something similar.
I was once hired by a Chinese-American magazine to make a comedy-satire piece poking fun of how people easily forget history and align themselves with dangerous ideologies. One of the characters was a time traveling American undercover spy in ww2 Germany, and unfortunately some Japanese nationalists who have harassed my family in the past for journalistic involvements decided to use it to spread rumors about me and my families being nazis… They made a bet that the internet would be dense enough to not understand what the “satire” in satirical works meant. their goal was to successfully silence my family and I. Unfortunately they were right about the internet, many people did not even know what being an “American spy” entails. Seeing people argue with the magazine itself, saying a “Spy” aligns with the country he’s spying on was refreshing.
The only way we stopped their harassment was to filing a lawsuit against them. What’s happening right now is not as bad, but seeing similar happen again is nothing short of irony.

Yes, I was too bold and harsh with the satire. But again, I will not stop because one of the main reason I wanted to draw this webtoon was to raise money for charity (the Trevor project) I want to do more good using my evil.
