Hello everyone, I hope you all have had a fantastic 2025, and if you’re celebrating New Year's, I hope you all have a great and safe one too!
I’m making this announcement because I know I have been quite absent when it comes to replying to messages, Discord pms, and YouTube activity. I also understand that while some people are incredibly understanding and still sending me well wishes, others are angry and upset (completely understandably), but I want you to know it’s due to serious situations that have arisen in my life, and not attributed to me just running off to the bank like Mr. Krabs with my secret formula. Therefore, I ask you to read the entirety of this message and reserve your thoughts until you fully see the complexity of the situation.
So let’s start with issue #1. While doing YouTube two years ago, my computer pretty much exploded, and with that, I lost all of my video assets. My disk with Windows installed became faulty, and after many desperate attempts to restore a backup failing, I had to accept the fact that all of my templates, presets, and graphics for my videos were unfortunately gone. My computer wouldn’t even boot anymore. At the same time, I was also attending College so my time was extremely limited, both in terms of editing and also for trying to recover my assets. Not to mention, I also had to rush to buy a new PC to do my coursework.
Still, though, I tried to balance my academic commitments with YouTube, but slowly, day by day, month by month, it was clear it wasnt sustainable. To put it into perspective, I don’t use AI to write any of my scripts or to edit. I only use it for voice work and limited image generation. Therefore, I spent a very long time scripting and editing, often the process for completing a single video took 70-100+ hours. As you can imagine, that didn’t work too well if you’re also a full-time student, and it showed in the last 3 President videos, which didn’t meet the standards I usually set for my videos. I just couldn’t dedicate the necessary time to edit and write scripts that I was satisfied with, like in the earlier episodes.
So why didn’t I make an announcement right then and there?
Because I still tried to make it work each day/week/month. I still tried to balance both YouTube life and College life even after my disk died. But as academic obligations mounted and I took more demanding courses, it slowly began to take all of my time, and I realized that it couldn’t work. There were also health complications that made things difficult, but we will talk about that later.
Therefore, it wasn’t like one day I woke up and said–fuck it, I’mma stop editing. It was more of a progressive realization that, given my time constraints, I couldn't edit videos at a level of quality I was satisfied with. At the time of this conclusion, it had been about a year since my last upload, and I felt I needed a very detailed explanation of why I had been gone so long, rather than just a small update. The trouble was finding the time to write that explanation. Now that I’ve recently graduated, however, I finally have the time to write it, hence this message.
But that’s just life, we all have responsibilities we deal with and priorities we learn to balance over time.
The second, more pressing issue is something I really didn’t want to mention–something I really wanted to keep private, but I felt you guys had the right to know, given that I had been absent so long. A few years ago, I was diagnosed with Restless Leg Syndrome, a neurological issue closely linked to Parkinson's. The symptoms for me were abrupt, disabling, and devastating. Overnight, I literally lost the ability to sleep, began losing motor control, and experienced nocturnal convulsions (similar to seizures) among many other serious symptoms.
I went to the urgent care and primary doctor almost daily for weeks, trying to sort the issue while on incredibly limited sleep. Thankfully, after many doctor visits, I was eventually referred to a specialist who ended up referring me to another specialist, who also referred me to another specialist.
It took 3 neurologists, but they finally pinpointed the issue and noted that with my family history of Parkinson’s and neuro issues, it was most likely genetically linked. During this time, I lost so much sleep that I had to drop 4 classes, delaying my graduation. YouTube editing was completely impossible, and the situation deteriorated so badly that I just prayed for things to end. This is not something I share lightly, nor something I wanted to disclose, but after such a long absence, I felt it was important to convey the seriousness of what I was dealing with. I ask you not to discount my experience; it truly became so bad that when the sun went down, and I knew I wouldn’t be able to sleep again, I felt an intense sense of dread; it was not a good time.
The condition cannot be cured, and I practically went from one day completely fine, unmedicated, to taking 4-6 anticonvulsant pills daily. That said, even medicated, I struggle immensely to sleep. Some days it took me 4 hours to sleep, and I had to wake up 4 hours later for morning classes while being hungover from my medication’s effects. This sleep debt spilled over the entire week until I could finally sleep in on the weekends (if my body allowed me to).
So to summarize, it takes me hours to sleep some nights, other days I’m only awake for 12 hours, before I have to lie down to try to sleep for 4 hours, which means I can’t get much done throughout the day compared to how I was before the onset of RLS.
This past 2025, the side effects from long-term intake of the medication became much more pronounced, and to spare you more wordy paragraphs, I had to see doctors sometimes weekly, and even had to go to the ER twice this month.
This is not the full picture; worse things happened that I’m omitting, but I don’t want this to be a trauma dump post. I want it to be a detailed update that hopefully explains to you all where I have been and what I have been dealing with. I haven’t been partying and sidelining you guys; I just had a lot of unpleasant things going on. As previously stated, some people are incredibly kind, messaging me warm wishes, while others were not too pleased with my sudden disappearance. Hopefully, this message explains why I didn’t just give an update shortly after my last video, and how, due to my neuro condition and time constraints, I could not balance both YouTube and College work.
I initially planned on renewing my Premiere subscription and making a full indetailed video rather than a text update. However, given my health isn’t in the best place, I’m planning to take the next 3 weeks off to hopefully stabilize it. If things improve after that, I’ll consider putting together a more detailed video.
That said, the future for YouTube right now remains uncertain. It’s unlikely I’ll upload as regularly as I previously did, but I may drop a video here and there of funny moments of my friends and me playing random games like the good ol’ days if we find the time. Regarding AI content, I do have a second channel I may upload to once in a blue moon, but again, this remains uncertain as I try to rebalance my life and also enter the corporate sphere. If I do have the time and things do stabilize, I may upload more on either channel. If you’d like to see the content on there or subscribe for potential future uploads, here’s the link: youtube.com/@Justinian7290/featured
I also just want to close by saying I do understand why people are upset, and I do apologize for the poor manner in which I have handled this update. There was no easy or clear moment for me to know when or how to address everything I was contending with. That said, I hope you all know I truly do value this community. For those who may remain unhappy with this post or who still believe I just chose to disappear after the President series, just ask yourself–if this post weren’t sincere, what would I have to gain from writing this? I could continue my absenteeism, not have said anything, and reaped all of the rewards and none of the cons. However, I chose to write this because not a day goes by that I have not thought of you guys. In the future, I will try to keep in touch more often on Discord with announcements: discord.gg/g6eX3Vf7DH
Have a fantastic New Year’s and 2026, everyone, be safe, and I wish the best for all of you!
I hope you all have a wonderful feast today, stuffing your faces with copious amounts of turkey, gravy, and pumpkin pie! We all deserve a respite here and there, so I hope this weekend serves to lift your morale and fill your dining room with laughs. Also, do make sure your bird is PROPERLY plucked, cleaned, and prepped for eating before you bring it into the dining room. Donnie and Joe may have forgotten about that little tidbit this year.
Happy holiday weekend, everyone. Be well, be safe, and the boys and I thank you for accompanying us from month to month, season to season, as we continue The Presidential Adventures Series
I'm happy to announce that the next installment of the Presidential Adventures series is nearly finished and will be uploaded and published soon! When I cannot say, but ballpark estimate is around a few days. This time, the boys decide to embark on a potentially perilous adventure to investigate the wealth of mysteries that lurk within and below the Bermuda Triangle. Will this trip strengthen their resolve and solidify their brotherhood? Or will their curiosity usher in their undoing? Find out soon, in this 30 minute long video! Yes, 30 minutes of Presidents mayhem! I have not been idle this past month! As I promised, the series would continue. I've been chiseling away at it slowly, editing whenever my schedule and life would allow. So prepare your TV dinners and your popcorn, for the next video shall be the longest episode season 4 has to offer so far!
Also additional thanks to all Patrons/Members and Super Thanks patrons! You may have noticed in the past few videos that I have kept my top 5 Super thanks members the same and that I have failed to update it on the endscreen. This was due to my desire to publish the videos as soon as they were finished. Youtube doesn't have a convenient way of keeping track of everyone's donations and or cumulative donations so I literally have to go comment by comment and keep track of them which as you can imagine, proves to be quite time consuming! However, this does not mean your contributions go unnoticed. I reply to each one that I see. Thank you all, and I'll see you when the next video goes live!
First, I want you all to know that I am alive. It's been a rough month and a half.
Fall semester has begun which has demanded much of my attention. On top of that, I also got pretty sick for like 3 weeks out of the month which really made it difficult to keep up with life and school's obligations, not to mention youtube's as well! As a result, editing has slowed down to a snail's pace, but I want you all to know that even in spite of this, I do have several more videos lightly scripted for the future. So if you think The Presidential Adventures is going anywhere, let me put those thoughts to rest :) It will however, take longer to upload in between each episode compared to how it was while I was on summer break. With that said, the next episode will most likely be live within the next 5-6 days! Once Barry and Georgie finish their assignments and Joe and Donald get better, they'll step back into the limelight and the series can resume.
Thank you all for your incredibly generous patience and support!
Thanks for being more than patient, everybody! Glad to say that season 4 episode 1 is finalized and publishes tomorrow at 12:30 PM PDT! Watch it during your lunch break or perhaps when your boss isn't looking over your shoulder! It's time for the adventure and series to finally continue as the Presidents go on a Dangerous Caving Trip...Tuck in those fupas Mr. Presidents...it's gonna be a tight squeeze.
