YouTube can be completely demoralizing. You can spend weeks on a pattern, but the way the algorithm works means it doesn't matter how good the content is, if people don't watch it for longer than a few minutes, YouTube says its no good and stops suggesting it. Crochet tutorials inherently have short view durrations at the beginning because people don't always have the time or supplies to do the project at that moment. At this rate, I'm going to have to start selling the patterns on Etsy or something, rather than continue to put in all this effort only for an algorithm to decide I'm not worthy 😮💨. It wasn't like this 10 years ago when I started on here.

There are times when I want nothing more than to just finish a project, but it's nearly 2:00 in the morning. I know any work I do after midnight will probably need to be redone the next day. So I have to reluctantly put it down or risk being up until 2:00 the next night redoing everything I messed up today.
