✨ Obedience and Sacrifice ✨

Many of us are willing to sacrifice, but fewer are willing to obey. Sacrifice can sometimes come from pride or duty, but obedience flows from a heart surrendered to God.

The Bible reminds us in 1 Samuel 15:22: “To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.” Saul learned this the hard way—God was not impressed by offerings if the heart was disobedient.

Jesus gave us the ultimate example. His obedience to the Father led Him to make the greatest sacrifice—the cross. Because of His obedience, we have life, freedom, and victory.

When God asks us to obey, it may not always be easy. It may cost us relationships, comfort, or personal desires. But obedience opens the door to blessings that sacrifice alone can never bring.
