The question came up around how well minis fit on 3D printed terrain. Typically, the answer is it depends. Here's an example of two Printable Scenery systems. The standard walls and floors have full floors with walls added to the perimeter. The cavern tiles include the walls on the floors (at least the version I have). I think this has a lot to do with the goal and what makes the most sense based on the textures and overall vibe.
I think most systems try to keep floors consistent with any walls running the perimeter. Interior walls is where it gets interesting... a room around a room.
Thought I'd share the images here. It's easier to show than tell!
