Montenegro, a country I visited just 3 months ago is facing a huge thread. The Government basically sold the Coastline to Saudi Arabian investors, which will "develop" an important coastline habitat. Developing land is a fancy word for destroying nature and making it a concrete hell for luxury tourism which will benefit a few people but destroy rare and incredible important habitats, kill millions of animals and plants. Natural flora will be replaced by invasive. Right now there are protests happening and a petition is out for signing which nearly 10.000 people already signed. While I am aware that petitions are a small effort, I am sure that the more people know about and disagree with the things happening in Montenegro, the backlash from media and pressure on people in charge will rise. So if you have a minute, sign that one please.

The Loop is a brand new long-distance hiking trail that follows existing trails through the Beskidy region of southern Silesia and Lesser Poland. There are no predetermined stages, the initiators of the path want to give the hiker the freedom but also the task of finding routes for their fitness level. Along the route you will find numerous mountain huts and other facilities where you can eat, drink but also sleep. What was new for me is that you can simply set up your tent next to most of the huts. This makes it possible to actually walk the loop with almost any budget.

What I love about the trail is that YOU decided if its an easy walk or a challenge for your body and mind. You make your stages. You can walk 10km a day or 50km. You can sleep in your tent or sleep in the huts. If you decide to camp you pay around 5€ per day, if you want a double room in the hut expect around 25€ per Person. If you are lucky and start early and are a good observer, you can also spot beautiful and rare wildlife.
