In case you forgot, do not let your head touch that pillow without praying. Remember, every time you pray you are creating a spiritual shield around you, your family, your health, your home, your progress. Prayer is NEVER optional when you understand spiritual warfare.
I think it is time to start going to bed early, and putting our phones away at least 1 hour before we get into our beds. Our spirits need alignment now more than ever. Pray, read a book, put on meditation music. Whatever you do, do not get in the bed with your phones. I purchased an old MP3 player for 45 bucks on Amazon just so at night I am not on my phone or laptop when it is time to wine down. I put on my MP3 player, play worship music or meditation music, talk to God and journal. I end up sleeping like a baby. Always remember, as people we are not meant to be hyper stimulated 24/7. Your brain needs rest. Also, how is God going to communicate with you when you are doom scrolling before bed. The answers are sometimes found in your dreams. Prepare to dream by balancing out your spirit before bed. If you have children, teach them to do the same. Let them draw, scribble, or listen to soothing music before bed, and keep that I-pad away from them. NO IPADS IN THE BED.
Kids are very connected to God. Your child may have a dream that is an answer to a question you have. Everything is connected.
This generation wants authenticity more than ever. Being performative simply won’t work. People want what’s real. People are hurting, people are in survival mode, people are going through challenges. They want to feel something in their soul, they want to be moved in a powerful way. I’m here for those souls. I see you, I hear you, I understand you. Life is a very very very interesting experience, and it’s definitely not easy. However, if you seek authenticity, grow in your internal authenticity and you’ll attract that to you.
When was the last time you spoke to God and didn’t ask him for something? Sometimes, simply building that bond is okay. God has feelings, please acknowledge that. No one wants to feel used. There’s nothing wrong with asking, everything belongs to God. However, God wants your heart and full allegiance.
