Story time!

For a large part of human history, until 1954, it was thought that it was impossible for a human to run a mile in under 4 minutes.

A human body is not made to run this fast.

No one had ever done it.

Just like you may think today that it is impossible to score 180/180.

But something strange happened in 1954.

A person ran a mile in under 4 minutes.
For the first time in history.

He broke what was thought impossible.

But this is not the interesting part.

The interesting part is this:

After the world came to know that it was now possible to run a mile in under 4 minutes, 2 more people did it.

In the same year.

Nobody had done it before.

Now, 3 people had done it in the same year.

What changed?

Did the human body change?
No.

Did the racing track change?
No.

Nothing changed except the belief that it was possible.

Someone had done it.

It was possible.

And what nobody had done before, 2 more people did it after they heard “it is possible.”

My advice to you is:

Don’t wait until you see someone score 180/180.

Be the one who does it for the first time, and the world will follow.

If you are the only one who scores 180/180 this year, there may be 3 people who do it next year.

Because you will not only have achieved it for yourself, but you will also have redefined what is possible.

Merit no 1 girl of Nishtar

Assalam u Alaikum!

Here’s Zainab Shahzad, a girl just like you, with dreams in her eyes, witnessing the miracles of Rabb Ta’ala, and who scored 174/180 in MDCAT.

So my MDCAT journey starts on 3rd June. I was enrolled in an online academy because we had to change stations, so with 3 stations came 3 different stories in 3 months!

2nd June ko last paper dene k bad I was like k ab to rest hi rest or maze hi maze.
Sakoon se MDCAT ki tiyari karon gi q k hai to online academy, apne hisab se chl skti.

Who knows k mentr meri zindagi ka aik sakoon demand kre ga. So day 1 I was like apni ammi ka ghar mai hath bhi btana hai, siblings k bhi different kam krne hain to mai aise hi karon gi, and at the end of the day 1, I was so exhausted that I completed all those tasks but the Mentr work was left.

Because sakoon kahan tha aik physical academy se brh kr Mentr ko time dena tha.

Aik week aise hi guzra. Phir mujhe realize hoa k Mentr is not just an academy, it’s a lifestyle of an MDCAT aspirant.
To jo 1 week ka kam tha I completed that on 3 days of Eid vacation, like my Eid was just with books.

So at station 1, my family used to sleep late and wake up late.
But at that point, I was sleeping even later than them and waking up early before everyone.

Wahan pora din prhne mai guzarta but in the weekly tests I would score low. My average score was 25/35, but jo guidance mentors or doubt solvers dete gaye, wo follow kr rhi thi, which helped me in revision.

Khair, because there was so much pressure on me, changing the station and managing so many other responsibilities, I reached a point where my health collapsed. So that meant another week without study.

So we reached the 2nd station village!
Wahan k internet problems or wahan k guests se bhi deal krna tha. Some days were so dark that I remember messaging my friend,

“I’m feeling like giving up,”

and her reply was,

“Koi musalman kaam ko darmiyan mai to nhi chorta, agr tum musalman ho to phir sabit qadam raho.”

Low scores, backlogs, and family responsibilities were all eating me up, but I still continued.

Setting Mission 2, waking up at 2am and studying till 2pm, and then handling family responsibilities, made sleep a luxury.

Phir start hoa mission 180, and it was the 3rd station and the most difficult one.
First my average score was 140, then 150, and the highest score ever in my FLP was 162. Iss phase mai I was under so much pressure, itna k everything was turning into darkness.

Once, I got a 3 hour fever in F.Sc, and in MDCAT I can’t even count how many times my health collapsed.
There was even a week when my efficiency was just one chapter in the whole week, and my study hours were the same as on productive days.
I got fever in the last week, but I asked Allah to give me strength to study. At that time, I cried a lot, I was never meant to give up, and why would I give up?

At least I tried to satisfy myself. I was doing whatever I could; even when getting 150s, *I was trying my best.*

My family supported me here, they lifted all responsibilities from me, and I will also mention my Umme to whom I had made a commitment that I would study 12 hours a day. Still, the results were not improving, I got 86% in NUMS with a 90.5% aggregate.

I, being a topper, seeing my marks in the 80s, made me cry.

I faced two extreme situations at this point. My aggregate was good, and because of family background, I could easily take admission in any NUMS college.

My khala started crying out of pride at that moment, and on the other hand, my relatives were looking down on me, saying she can’t clear MDCAT because her NUMS marks are so low.

No one was expecting that I would pass MDCAT in the first attempt.

At that point mai ne dua ki, or iss niyat se ki k Zakriya alahi salam k Rab se mang rhi hon to Zakriya alahi salam ki trh mango gi or mang kr unhi ki trh hairaan hon gi.

And whenever I made mistakes, mai ne kha, mistakes kron gi to Suleiman alahi salam ki trh mistakes ki maafi mango gi, k aisi kamiyabi mile jo bht azeem ho.

Akhri FLP solve kiya, 154 marks, still ye belief le kr gai thi k hall se niklon gi to white coat le kr hi niklon gi.

Paper wale din jldi uthi or tahajud mai dua kr k nikli.

Then I attempted the paper, my last FLP, and after filling the last bubble, I wanted to cry so badly because this was the only sheet we bore so much pain for.

So now, I always say it wasn’t me, it was Allah Ta’ala.
It just depends k Allah se ap kis shidat se mangte ho or ap kitno ki duaon mai ho.

Your part is to do whatever you can; aage Rabb k liye kuch bhi na mumkin nhi hai.

My journey was full of tears and sacrifices like all other aspirants, but when it ends, you just smile and say Alhamdulillah.

Finally becoming the family’s first doctor.
