"full" DPS formula = (damage*magsize)/(magsize/firerate+reload)

that counts on lootlemon on BL4's weapon card and (I'm not sure) maybe BL3's weapon 3-digit index based on it someway.

But.

Its very rare case this full dps is applied in real game light fighting very tough boss, raid boss etc.

In mobbing you usually kill enemy less than one mag and quickly reload even badasses.

So, usually factual DPS = damage*firerate

I added this comparison Bandit grip Bitch vs Hyperion Grip Bitch

full DPS Bandit grip = (200018*51)/(51/9.7+3.0) = 1235317.16

full DPS Hyperion grip = (190391*48)/(48/9.7+2.1) = 1296563.54

If you fighting Voracidous maybe you should count this full formula (but really you more likely premature reload before action skill etc. even then)

But when you kill a Super Badass Loader (7-10 shots or so) you probably more likely count factual DPS as

factual DPS Bandit grip = 200018*9.7 = 1940174.6

factual DPS Hyperion grip = 1900391*9.7 = 18433792.7

So, that's applies more often in most cases I suppose. Even some smaller minibosses, named enemies often killed less than one mag like Bad Maw or whatever.

Obviously, that's easier to calculate in the game sometimes even quickly in your mind to quickly compare and decide what gun is better but it's not the main reason to use this factual DPS.

Yes, you can argue there is some worse guns, white guns, underleveled gun, wanderlust etc. Also there is weaker builds not optimal DPS, maybe some special build for other reasons etc.

Then yeah probably full DPS can apply even in mobbing if you can't kill with one mag.

Still, in real game you has some character skills/gear can buff class mods relics etc. that buffs some of parts of that formulas. Like

1) Gun damage
2) Fire rate
3) Mag size
4) Reload speed

full DPS formula get proportional boost only with gun damage. Look:

"full" DPS formula = (damage*magsize)/(magsize/firerate+reload)

factual DPS formula = damage*firerate

so f.e. when you boost firerate your calculated full DPS doesn't apply you need to recalculate with all buffs (including even BAR etc) because it's not proportional. Same for mag size or reload speed.

Even if you're not killing with one mag you probably better calcalute damage*firerate because it's proportional to your actual skills/gear etc keeping in mind that it will be interrupted on reload.

Possibly I will make a new post about Arms Race mod how good it is to have something different in Borderlands that don't have in any other Borderlands game, only in Borderlands 3 and maybe I will upload (not as good as Noel's) my Arms Race runs, or even make a serie, it's so good.

Borderlands 2 is a 32bit single-core game not utilizing other 7 cores of my CPU. Because of this sometimes not utilizing videocard, GPU Util falls to 70% and even low. As a result - inconsistent FPS framerate sometimes skyrocket high to 600+ FPS sometimes fall to 160, very rarely to 120 FPS and even less.

Yes, this means for me, I've got 300Hz monitor. Though, in real gameplay it feels smooth enough and those framerate inconstistensy I barely notice it but still.

I think for this level of graphics game should perform thousands FPS maybe. Over 9000 :)

As for graphics of BL2 in 2026. It's kinda... No, I can't count BL2 graphics as "not bad" even if I wanted to do it, it's really outdated. But maybe.... OK, better you watch video and decide yourself.

ADD:

- Larger arena, when you look far, decrease FPS drastically
- Battle start, quantity of enemies decrease FPS
- Zoom/ADS sometimes increase, sometimes decrease
- Thousand Cuts is an arena with anomaly low FPS

Let's talk about Personal Space skill in context of my playstyle.

This skill is a huge damage boost, one the few Amara V2 bonuses that multiplies with all other in her damage formula.

And it's not 54% max literally if you pointblank enemy it's significantly more (i forgot exact number it's not matter now we're not counting)

So. After years on Amara I realize "keeping in mind this skill unsconciously" (lol what I'm talking) I started to play more aggressively to utilize Personal Space.

And secondly, the approach to accuracy in Borderlands 3 kinda differ from Borderlands 2. 70 Accuracy is feeling like "precise gun" but in Borderlands 2 is just "crap inaccurate" and it works differ. Lyuda has 84 accuracy and it's really sniper-grade accuracy in 3.

Previously, in Borderlands 2 with Maya I prefer high Accuracy SMGs like Beach 97 accuracy and snipers 95-96 accuracy usually. Plasma Caster not much further 92-93 for Maliwan and 95 for Hyperion if I'm correct.

I'd prefer far range and sniping with Maya. So Now in BL3 with Amara I prefer far range and sniping but it's not that far range and that "sniper shooting". And secondly, one of that skill that Amara inherited from Maya's Accelerate skill is Heavy Rain that makes certain multi-pellet weapons weapons further range and... Accuracy buffs that was Maya lacking maybe but still... Personal Space.

My playstyle is changed for that period with Personal Space.

I realized taht when I started playing Maya recently for a longer time I streamed Maya for 12 and hours on my Twitch and it's not one day. It's not that I'm not played Borderland 2 during all that time I play Borderlands 3, it's all was mixed up or actually.. nevermind

It's that I noticed I'm playing Maya more aggresively because of my Personal Space Amara habit. I even added Life Tap. Usually I'm not playing with Life Tap Maya Life Steal kill skill because Sweet Release is more than enough if you did several targets with Subsequence (that inherit my beloved Amara's Eternal Fist) you healed much but it's not instant so you should cover and further range and better positioning.

It's kinda weird point. You know I'm not pointblanking with Amara. I prefer mid to high range but it's still not Maya's mid-high or Maya's really high-to real far when I crit with my 96 Accuracy SMGs and snipers...

Really I don't know how to finish this post, but I wonder how unobviously this powerful skill affects my playstyle.

You know I prefer mobbing in Borderlands and not very good with bosses, raid bosses. But sometimes I want some to do some bossing also.

Insipired with St4rkiller stream, I uploaded 2 Son of Crawmerax battles, his method which he did Maya Son of Crawmerax world record (based on Legendary Binder - Thoughtlock) and new improved way with Legendary Cat.

I'm not making records, just playing OP0, not turning off BAR etc etc. I'm not a good player or bosser maybe and still I play Maya, play Sirens most of times.

Anyway, doesn't matter, I just want to have fun.
