While writing this album, I faced some very deep truths that I tend to avoid in search of comfort. With each song, my words open a door into a world that lives inside of me; a dark and dingy one that I decided to willingly enter for the purpose of healing through my songwriting—hence the title: The Process of Healing. I’m quite naturally a self-aware person; aware of my bad decisions when I make them, aware of my deepest and darkest fears, insecurities, vices, habits, flaws, etc. But a high degree of self-awareness combined with a lack of self-discipline can turn one’s mind into a merry-go-round; a head which thrives off of a cyclic nature—consistently wondering why it is the way it is, but ironically never truly wanting to be anything else. Is it a victim mentality or simply an illusion that introspection and self-honesty are a mark of brokenness—one big red flag waving in the wind, bearing a secret truth deep within each one of its woven threads that this is just a part of being alive; a part that so many people just don’t talk about?

Thank you to everyone who’s been streaming already. 🥹🫶 I definitely didn’t expect to wake up to 100 streams in just the first few hours that this album was released. It means more to me than you could ever know and if this album lends just one person a space to confide in—feel seen and heard—then it’s living its purpose. 🌹✨
