House 1: Draw random shapes overlapping each other. Then, “Dress” these shapes with walls and ceilings.
House 2: Come up with an asymmetrical floor plan and create your walls following that floor plan. Be creative and add details like a pile of wood and smoke coming from the chimney.
House 3: Create a large perspective box and smaller boxes stacked on top of each other. Then, sketch your house following the perspective. By now, most of the heavy lifting is done. Have fun adding color and intricate items.
I recently revisited one of my old illustrations using my current skills and tools. Here's the result. I made the old drawing when I was around 13, and I remember doing it during a class (probably Math). Do you want to know how I achieve my current art style?
