Welcome to my channel! 🙏 I am a former sangoma who has found new life in Christ. Here, I share my journey of leaving ancestral worship and embracing the truth of the Gospel. Through open conversations, Bible study, and real-life experiences, I explore what the Scriptures say about faith, spiritual deception, and the dangers of ancestral worship. My goal is to help others find freedom in Christ, grow in understanding of the Word, and recognize what to look out for in their own spiritual walk.
If you are curious about the Bible, searching for truth, or simply want to grow in your relationship with God, you’ll feel right at home here. Join me as we study, reflect, and walk this journey of faith together.

In recent weeks, social media has been flooded with shocking footage and photographs of makeshift gatherings in open fields—what many have come to call the “bush churches” of Zimbabwe. At first glance, these appear to be humble spaces of faith: believers gathering under trees to pray, sing, and seek the presence of God. Many of us, inspired by this simple devotion, assumed these were genuine churches dedicated to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
However, as more reports and testimonies surface, a troubling truth has begun to emerge. These are not churches in the biblical sense of the word. Behind the familiar songs and prayers lie practices that have little to do with the gospel and everything to do with witchcraft, deception, and spiritual bondage.
Images and eyewitness accounts reveal deeply unsettling scenes:individuals tied to trees, names written on scraps of paper and buried in the soil, and even declarations by supposed congregants that they will not pay rent. To many, these acts may seem strange or simply misguided. But as someone who once walked the path of a sangoma, I can confirm that these are not innocent rituals—they are acts of spiritual manipulation.
Take, for instance, the act of writing a person’s name on paper, sealing it in a plastic bag, and tying it to a tree. This is not symbolic prayer—it is a binding spell meant to destabilize a person’s life. Just as that bag flutters helplessly in the wind, so too does the victim’s stability—whether in work, relationships, or finances—get tossed to and fro without peace or grounding.
What is taking place in these “bush churches” is not worship but witchcraft disguised in religious language. These gatherings exploit faith and vulnerability, creating shrines and altars not to the living God, but to false spirits.
This moment calls for discernment among believers. The true Church is not defined by its location but by its foundation. It is built on Christ, the Rock of truth, freedom, and light. Any gathering that breeds fear, confusion, or spiritual captivity is not of God, no matter how convincingly it wears the garment of worship.
