Ben Eadie is a movie prop maker, practical special effects designer, inventor, nerd, and is a high collared cape and monocle away from being a mad scientist.
I have learned a lot working on movies like Ghostbusters: Afterlife, StarTrek Beyond, Maze Runner and Predator. I'm here to share my knowledge of prop making, cosplay tips and tricks, and EVA foam projects.
I’ll give you tips on computer aided design and 3D modelling with SolidWorks and OnShape tutorials. I’ll share suggestions for 3D printing, sanding and finishing 3D prints, DIY projects, prop making, and laser cutting. I also share with you the products and tools I can’t live without.

I want to know what Youtube channels you watch that have a tiny following and it is bloody criminal that they are not thriving in this ecosystem. I am starting to get mad that some channels that should be thriving are not.Here is an example. youtube.com/@ExperienceExplorers ( SUBSCRIBE TO THEM! if you don't your are dead to me) They are a AMAZEBALLS channel that is 200% entertaining and extremely well edited and filmed. They have been around for 6 years and should have a massive following.

Yes I am going to whine here. Look, I get it I moderate a couple communities on Reddit as well. There can be a ton of spam. But I post twice and I get banned? Really? Here is the EXACT SAME post doing well on another community. www.reddit.com/r/3dprinter/comments/16kdhej/is_3d_… I am totally cool with a 'you broke the rules' warning but it seems a bit harsh to just ban.

What came to my mind was why not laser cut it? Could I make a laser flat pack beam... "Laser Beam" (Sorry for the Dad joke but it had to be made) and below you can see what I have come up with. It can be assembled in 75mm, 150mm, 225mm, and 300mm lengths and any multiple of those in infinite length. The holes are for a few things. One is to lighten it up. Two is for screw attachments and the rectangular holes are for zip ties.
