Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi has concluded his first visit to Africa in Zimbabwe. The Iranian leader commenced his tour of three African countries from Kenya, where he was welcomed by President Ruto. He then visited Uganda where he met President Yoweri Museveni before making his way to Zimbabwe, where he was welcomed by President Mnangagwa. It has been more than a decade since an Iranian leader, visited Africa. In Kenya the Iranian president described Africa as a ‘continent of opportunities.’ Iran and the three African countries have signed various memorandums of understanding related to information technology, fisheries, livestock products and investment promotion. Iran has stepped up its diplomatic outreach to developing world in recent years. The last visit by an Iranian leader to Africa was by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in 2013.//youtube.com/@Africanboss938
