Sherwood Phoenix are purveyors of luxury and bespoke pianos, amongst our range of services we buy, sell and restore pianos, supply pianos for hire to film and television projects, and carry our own in-house piano logistics team. We are available for all piano related business enquiries and look to be an open channel of advice for anyone who is interested and passionate about pianos. You are welcome to visit us in Nottinghamshire, where we have a selection of over 200 pianos to try, including brand new, historic and designer examples of upright, grand, concert grand and digital pianos.

HOW DOES THE PIANO WORK? 🤔🎹
A piano works by having a group of little hammers inside that hit strings to make sounds. When you press a key, it activates the hammer to hit the corresponding string, making a musical note. It's like having a tiny construction crew inside the piano that builds a sound every time you press a button!
Or, as the pianist told the plumber: "The piano works by striking a chord with the strings. But don't worry, you don't need to fix any pipes to make music!" 😀
