Jools Holland
Jools Holland OBE DL is a composer, pianist, bandleader and broadcaster.
From playing pubs in the East End docks as a teenage greaser, to leading his rhythm and blues orchestra and selling millions of records this century, it is his passion for music that has made Jools Holland into a doyen of the music scene.
Jools was awarded an OBE in 2003 for his services to the British music industry. He is married with four children and lives in a world of his own.

Very sad to learn we have lost the great artist Brian Clarke, a dear friend. He was noted for his extraordinary collaborations with architects Sir Norman Foster and Zaha Hadid, and recently a mammoth window he did for Bahrain airport. He also worked on projects with Olivia Harrison, Mary McCartney, Linda McCartney and Paul McCartney. In between all of this, he somehow managed to fit in making three wonderful windows for my studios (as shown in the video). The best thing about him was that he made me laugh a lot. We will miss him so much, but I’m sure we haven’t heard the last of Sir Brian Clarke.

PUMP IT UP! What a day. I was driving to Pinewood Studios to film something, (presently forbidden to say too much about this), when disaster strikes. A puncture in my nearside front tyre. Late, stressed, me and my car limp along on a B road when this saintly figure, Martin Middleton waves me down. He has a mini compressor to temporarily pump the tyre up enough to complete my journey. Disaster averted and my faith in human kindness confirmed. Thanks dear Martin, knight of the road and travellers friend. Further thanks to JLR and James Lewis.
