Generation Sea Change

Welcome to Generation Sea Change

Generation Sea Change comes at the right time to inspire and energise a new generation of biologists, conservationists, and ocean advocates, and reach out to communities throughout the UK who are facing environmental challenges.

For our new channel we will be creating short films to inform and educate about some of our key ecosystems - sea grass, kelp, rocky reefs, the intertidal zone - and also to celebrate volunteers and groups who have created their own local environmental initiatives.

Through 2023 and into 2024 Generation Sea Change will not just explore the issues affecting our coasts and shallow seas, it will also conduct lectures and events with local schools wherever we land, celebrate community conservation efforts, and - hopefully - inspire a new generation of biologists and conservationists through active outreach to young people who would otherwise not have a chance to engage with the natural world.

Generation Sea Change

It’s official - we are all in Falmouth living onboard Sobek and filming with lots of wonderful contributors. Yesterday to escape the rain we visited the National Maritime Museum. A special day as the Lobster Hatchery released 600 baby lobsters in front of the windows below. More to come on boat life and filming Generation Sea Change!

Welcome to our community page...

As a family we would love to hear from other sailing families who are travelling this summer in the UK or around the world.
