Max Goedecke
Hailing from the south Cologne border line, Max Goedecke is not the sweetheart and lullaby singer you might expect:
woke up with an ill-defined longing to break free and to see the world after graduating, Max grabbed his dusty guitar and started doing street music all around Europe while selling his self-made debut album "Newspeak" from his rucksack.
Traveling from Lisbon’s Alfama terraces to the backstreets of Rome’s Lido Di Ostia, Max missed not a single opportunity to broaden his view in the turbulent time of the Corona pandemic. He captured all his street performances on his Instagram account tas_phania and grew a loyal fanbase there.
Max has released his first full official singer-songwriter record "Broke But Happy (At Lake Success"), which is also on CD available now (Amazon, Bandcamp).
In 2023/2024, Max played festivals like the Roma Buskers (Rome, Italy), Songbird/Singing City Festival Davos and the Hit The Road (Königswinter, Germany) across Europe.

🇬🇧 "The tape is running!" ('Er nimmt auf!') "Wait...2 ('Moment') "1 2 3 4"... "I'm not ready." ('Ich bin nicht fertig')... "Come on!" ('Ach'). - That's how the first demo recording (which you hear here in my new short teaser!) started many many years ago of "Dear Brave New World" with my friend Sam. The song has become the first single of my new album now. Back in those days I had many creative ideas on guitar, was full of rockstar dreams, but could never finish a song. I can't wait to share with you now the studio version with cool music videos in 4k on the 26th October, save the date!

The sun has started to shine here in Germany and I give you this week a song of hope and search for a better world of my debut album Newspeak. Definately inspired in its title by the same called dystopian novel by Aldous Huxley, this song is a Brave New World song of my generation: a generation in search of fullfillment in restoring the health of mother nature and in fighting the greed for more and meaningless consumption to the stars of our capitalistic heritage.

O sol começou a brilhar aqui na Alemanha e esta semana apresento a vocês uma canção de esperança e busca por um mundo melhor do meu álbum de estreia "Newspeak (Novilíngua)". Definitivamente inspirada no título do mesmo romance distópico de Aldous Huxley, esta canção é uma canção de um "Brave New World (Admirável Mundo Novo)" da minha geração: uma geração que busca a integridade na restauração da saúde da Mãe Natureza e luta contra a ganância por mais e o consumo sem sentido às estrelas de nossa herança capitalista.

This week I have for you my classic rocker NY Evenin' Star on Youtube in vinyl quality. It was one of my first original song ideas and started with the guitar riff in the intro, which I found already at the end of my school time... I still remember how I sat outside of our back then local pub "Domi" and experimented with that riff. You can hear pretty much that I listened everyday to Guns N' Roses when I wrote that song... it is so old school. This week I have for you my most epic composition of my debut album Newspeak: Waterworld! I even used humpback whale sounds in the intro and outro of the song. This song is about a dystopian future, where mankind's greed and pollution leads to a world which is nearly fully covered by water and mankind lives in "castles under massive watertons".
It is a lament for all the ocean animals out there, that's why I used the humpback whale sounds... it is a song for them! You find the full video in super quality on Youtube!
Esta semana eu tenho para vocês minha composição mais épica do meu álbum de estreia Newspeak: Waterworld! Eu até usei sons de baleia-jubarte na introdução e no final da música. Esta música é sobre um futuro distópico, onde a ganância e a poluição da humanidade levam a um mundo que é quase totalmente coberto pela água e a humanidade vive em "castelos sob enormes águas".
