On July 31, 2026, Avantasia will hit the Skogsröjet Festival in Rejmyre, and I honestly can’t wait to return to this beautiful country and feel that incredible Scandinavian festival spirit again.
We’re not done yet with adding more shows for summer 2026! I’m happy to share that Avantasia will return to France next year. On June 5th we’ll be part of Heavy Week-End in Nancy, and I’m really looking forward to bringing the show back to our friends there. France, nous vous aimons!

On June 8th we’ll play the Arena Alpe Adria in Lignano, Italy, and on June 10th we’ll bring the magic to Sofia, Bulgaria at the Asics Arena. And let’s see… maybe there’s still more to come?

Latin America and Japan - it’s coming nearer! The Here Be Dragons World Tour kicks off next month and we’re more than ready to bring you the full Avantasia experience. Epic songs, great friends and a night you’ll never forget. Where will you join us?
THE SCARECROW - the album that revived Avantasia back in 2008, a combination of old and new and the start of a new era. I still love that album to death, from the first note to the last. Back in 2006 I started writing for a solo album but after we had arranged the title track I knew it would be perfect to become the rebirth of Avantasia. That said, we are working on a massive reissue with a remaster of the original and I just finished some vocals for a bonus disc with my vocals, and it's interesting to hear how great the album is with guests such as Jorn Lande, Alice Cooper, Michael Kiske or Bob Catley. That said, I enjoy singing these songs and it's interesting even for myself to find out what it would have sounded like if it would have been a solo album. Certainly different, but the conclusion is: nothing can ruin these songs, not even my voice. Ha! 😜👍 honestly, super proud of both, the Avantasia version and the solo version. You'll hear both, soon!
Talking Metal Opera: Since we had some wonderful chats about it, I listened again, and it's not that bad I have to admit😊 - thank you all for your patience with stubborn me - what song would you love to hear added to the set in Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Japan, Colombia and Mexico? And please, don't say The Tower or Seven Angels, they are sooo long, my band would kill me to rehearse that... 😂 just name a song of the first two albums, I'll read it and see what I can do. 😜
