New Song Announcement: Kyoto First

What happens when a single week holds the weight of a lifetime?

Last September, a spontaneous invitation to a dear friend turned the final segment of my solo Japan trip into something indelible. With no formal plans and no expectations, we moved through Kyoto with a calm assurance that every moment would be magical.

I’ve always been moved by "short film" songwriting—tracks like ‘American Pie’ by #DonMcLean, ‘Fast Car’ by #TracyChapman, and 'All Too Well' by #TaylorSwift. I wanted "Kyoto First" to follow that same tradition: an intimate journey filled with vivid settings and emotional "plot twists." To bring the story to life, I’ve created a Japanese anime-style montage to mirror the Kyoto setting.

This song is the musical map of that experience—from the humidity of the Osaka station platform to the quiet magic of shared green tea. It’s about the "geometry of firsts" and the unbelievable truth of finding connection in a place where time stands still.
