Welcome to JLS COMICS! The goal of this channel is to have fun while educating about the history and lore of comic books, both the characters, the creators, and the industry itself! We cover Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Image Comics and have a focus on GI Joe A Real American Hero and other beloved 1980s franchises: Transformers, TMNT, MOTU, Voltron, Thundercats and more!
If you see a comic book that you like, or hear a story that interests you, or learn about a new character that sounds cool, I encourage you to go to your local comic book shop and purchase a copy for your own collection and enjoyment. If want to know an issue number of volume, don't hesitate to ask me. I don't include all information from the stories themselves so you have more to discover when you read them on your own!

DEADLINE EXCLUSIVE: Energon Universe Adult Animated Series Based On Comic From Hasbro & Skybound With Joe Henderson As Showrunner Hitting TV Marketplace
Robert Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment has teamed with Hasbro Entertainment to produce Energon Universe, an adult animated series based on the comics of the same name created by Kirkman and published by Skybound. Joe Henderson (Lucifer) is attached to write the adaptation and serve as showrunner on the series, an epic crossover of G.I. Joe, Transformers and Void Rivals mythology, which is expected to be taken out to buyers shortly.
Despite featuring the family-friendly Hasbro characters G.I. Joe and Transformers, the Energon Universe series will be broad, with adult sensibility in the vein of Kirkman’s gritty adult animated series Invincible, based on his comic, which has been a hit for Prime Video, renewed for Season 5 ahead of its Season 4 premiere next March.

New video drop is inbound!
Apologies for the lack of videos recently, my offline life has been rather busy lately. Thank you for your patience over the past few weeks. I still intend to ramp back up my video production frequency meaning there is still TONS more to come from this channel.
Tonight's video is about a Palitoy / Action Force character named Blades. No, not the switches & timers type, this one is about helicopter rotor blades. Lots of fun and I hope to see you in the comments!

Hello! Here is a quick update so you know why there has been a bit of a delay in my uploads: Unfortunately, the computer I’ve been using for a few years has died. It’s a known issue with the flex gate cable which is not covered under warranty.
I hope this goes without saying but this setback is incredibly disheartening and frustrating. That being said, I will be back up and running very soon! Thank you for your patience and understanding.

On another note, I have been working on the next GI Joe video which will focus on some interesting vehicles. Unfortunately, halfway through development, I Iost my work along with some other pre-production projects and my list of video requests from everyone so I’ve had to start over again!

Check out Larry Hama’s new Kickstarter project: Mounties vs. Werewolves! This book looks like a ton of fun!
From Larry: “I don't get a cent from the vast majority of GI Joe reprints, nor do I get anything from all the Wolverine material that is reprinted in 17 countries outside the USA.
