🚨 URGENT SAFETY ALERT: Ridstar E-Bikes
CPSC Issues Strong Stop-Use Warning – Fire Hazard!
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning owners of Ridstar Q20 and Q20 Pro fat-tire e-bikes to immediately stop using them.
Why?
- Lithium-ion batteries and wiring can ignite 🔥
- 11 fires reported
- 1 burn injury, 5 smoke inhalation cases, $40,000+ in property damage
The Chinese manufacturer (Huizhou Xingqishi) refused to cooperate with a proper recall, so no refunds or replacements — just this urgent warning.
What to do:
✅ Remove the battery immediately
✅ Dispose of it as hazardous waste (don’t sell or give it away)
✅ Stop riding the bike
If you own one (black with “Ridstar” on the 48V battery), check it now!
Stay safe — cheap e-bikes shouldn’t cost you your home or worse.

Big update: I’m in the middle of moving — and I’m stoked!
Uploads might be a little spotty during the transition, but here’s the good news:
My new place has trail access right out the door.
That means more riding, more exploring, and more content that shows these e-rides doing what they were built for. I’m hyped to hit new terrain, film some epic sessions, and bring you guys along for the ride.
Stay tuned — the next chapter is about to get way more fun.

I know we all love to ride our e-bikes around town and anywhere we can but I’ve been seeing a lot of ruts popping up. I’m not pointing the finger at anyone, I just want to bring some awareness to the situation and say that if you have one of these e-bikes or any other PEV
PLEASE DONT DESTROY CITY PROPERTY. NO RUTS.
It’ll ruin it for all of us if the city gets involved. The more we can stay covert and out of trouble the better. As long as we stay responsible we can ride around without problems.
