i was listening to st. anger recently and it's simultaneously hilarious and concerning how irrationally angry people get that this album exists, and that people like it. i mean i've seen divisive stuff, but this is genuinely the most intensely divided thing i've ever seen and i live in america. there is no "i can see why people would like it" or "i respect your opinion," just raw vitriol and contempt. someone really needs to help these guys.

i want you to focus on that strange word that has a trans flag in the middle. the absolute LEVELS of this dogwhistle is unreal.
- the first two letters are B and L - the flag is supposed to be read as "ack," from the "-ACK!" thing, which i don't even know how that came to be but basically, it's transphobia. - the whole word is read as "Blacks" which in context is used to dehumanize black people, racism. - the full context is about people taking advantage of a banking glitch. you should be able to connect the dots on why they would say this and not just "people" like i did.
in some ways, i wish i didn't understand any of this. but i'm glad that i do, because this is unbelievably fucked and nobody should be getting away with this.
