Hello there!
This is a channel that will cover all things science, anything from Zoology, Paleontology and even astronomy!
I hope that with these videos, I can inspire new generations of people to be interested and engaged in these topics and that people both young and old can get something out of them.
If I ever say something in one of my videos that is inaccurate or false, be sure to correct me.

To say I was astounded at this news is nothing short of an understatement.
It was the first thing I saw when I woke up two days ago, and I was hyped up for the whole rest of the day (to an extent I still am now!)
I'll be putting out a brief video on what we can potentially expect based on the information we currently know, so sit tight for that and some other upcoming content.
After the main animation studios that brought Prehistoric Planet to life (Jellyfish Pictures and MPC) shut up shop, it's excellent that Framestore has picked up the mantle.
November 26th really can't come soon enough!

Hey everyone!
The Khankhuuluu video I've been working on is done now and will be out in the next few hours!
Stay tuned! I'll be posting the link to it when it's uploaded in a pinned comment on this post. :)

To all of my Aotearoa New Zealand viewers, if you want to spend a good hour watching birds and also contributing to science, then this is for you!
If you don't know already, there is a survey ran by Manaaki Whenua (Landcare Research) which
Citizen science projects for these are deeply helpful in understanding our birdlife and their population dynamics, and they reveal a great many insights into how they're doing.
E.g, Tūī increasing by 207% in Canterbury, and Dunnocks/Starling/House sparrow numbers showing shallow declines over the last 10 years nationally of around 14-18%.
I'll share more examples when I get the chance, but there are a great many that show in many areas where some bird species are increasing or declining at rapid rates, and that allows us to know for instance that some of our native/endemic garden birds may be increasing in number because of increased feeder presence or higher-rates of native plantings through correlative analysis, etc.
If you want to be involved, click the link I've pinned in the comments section to find out more!
Basically, you just need to find a good spot in your garden or nearby park and count what you hear/see for an hour.
Also, very importantly, if you see two Blackbirds for example, you tally down two. If you see a third one later but they're by themselves, you leave your tally at two (you want your tally to reflect the number of birds you see at any ONE time) :)

You may have noticed a shift in my content as of late (youtube shorts-wise) as I've been posting a lot of paleontology/zoology-themed memes featuring the filmography of Neil Breen. This isn't entirely out of nowhere, as I watched his whole filmography recently, and I've never laughed so hard at a series of films in my life.
There were so many moments I came up with jokes relevant to the channel that I think all of you natural sciences people are also sure to get a laugh out of it!
So, for the next good while on the channel, I'll be putting out a daily Neil Breen paleomeme!
I put the first three out from June 11th-June 13th, and am now aiming to continue the streak I've started on June 24th. It will be interesting to see how it all goes!
28,056 views have been garnered so far in totality from the 5 I've posted so far, so while that is fairly small all things considered, what I've known from my time on YT is that videos can sometimes take off at random times, and this is especially true for shorts. I know too that there is a certain cohort of my audience who watch my longer-form content more and vice versa with shorts, so I don't want to alienate either groups. Because of that, even though I'm putting these out frequently, it does not mean at all that longer-form content as been sidelined at all. The only thing that's changed is that there will be more consistent uploads from another part of the channel to tide people over with some humour while the larger videos are being worked on. :)
Stay tuned for the rest of June, and especially for July, as Shark Week is once again coming up, and I have much planned for that!

The latest video is now out on the two-fingered therizinosaur, Duonychus!
Watch it here: https://youtu.be/bM3kelKLDsU
Also to be covered soon will be the tyrannosauroid from the same formation as them, Khankuuluu, which gives some brilliant insights into the origins of larger theropods like T.rex.
Stay tuned for that and more for the rest of June! :)

New video coming in the next day!
Will be covering the recently described two-fingered therizinosaur Duonychus, and sometime soon afterwards, I will also be talking about the even more recently described Tyrannosauroid from the same Mongolian formation they're from, Khankhuulu!
Some really amazing finds happening from that part of the world, which is brilliant to see!
Also featuring a photo of the lead author of the study describing them, Yoshitsugu Kobayashi, as it's both a sick photo, and he's a cool dude (described the body remains of Deinocheirus, and was also a consultant on the documentary Amazing Dinoworld!

Close to 26 years after the original series aired, Walking with Dinosaurs is back! (As of May 25th in the UK, and June 16th 2025 in the United States, with other regions varying)
When I say that, there are many stylistic differences that are to be noted, including the featuring of dig site footage in the present day which is quite a departure from the 1999 series.
However, how things turn out is yet to be seen, and whatever the case and the quality, I look forward to watching and reviewing it in a timely manner (I am still aiming to review all of the walking with trilogy and Prehistoric Planet first and foremost eventually).
In the meantime, I'm currently scripting a quick video of what can be expected based on the information that has already been provided, so stay tuned for that, as I have a good deal more to talk about!
