The first impressions of the Bowers & Wilkins Pi8 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earphones showcase a big, wide soundstage, with punchy but initially muddy midrange. After a 2-3 hour burn-in session, the sound transformed noticeably.

Upon listening to Adele’s Easy on Me, the vocals felt very close and forward, while the piano carried weight with lingering decays that were much clearer than other TWS earphones tested. Hikaru Utada’s First Love revealed more vocal detail after the burn-in compared to earlier listens. The size and texture of the drums in Poem of Chinese Drum felt much more organic, reminding me of the powerful, energetic lion dance drums from my childhood.

Finally, when listening to Vivaldi’s Winter performed by Anne Akiko Meyers, the string dynamics were much more intense and filled the air with a grand presence.

In conclusion, with its larger speaker drivers and new materials, the Pi8 delivers a rich musical experience, bringing out intricate details in vocals and instruments. The soundstage and presence of the orchestra feel grand even in small earphones. If you’re looking for the ultimate TWS to own, the B&W Pi8 is a flagship you don’t want to miss.

First Impression:

The new Sonos ACE noise-canceling headphones left me somewhat disappointed initially. The sound was very muddy, and the imaging was not clear.

So, I decided to do a 5-hour burn-in before trying them again.

After the 5-hour burn-in, the soundstage became wider, and the positioning of the music was much clearer. The low frequencies tightened up a bit. However, the mid-bass frequency was a bit too much for me, but this can be adjusted by turning down the bass by 2 levels in the Sonos app. Overall, the detail is there, but it's just not airy enough for classical music.

Next, I will try them with TV audio, switching headtracking and Dolby Atmos.

One great feature of these headphones is their ability to connect to your TV at night without disturbing others, but you need to have a Beam soundbar to enable this function. If you are a movie and music lover like me, you will love this feature.

I recommend these headphones for pop, dance, and trance music.

The wearing comfort is normal. For me, music always comes first, and discomfort is not a major concern if you don't wear them for over 2 hours.

Lastly, I tried watching "John Wick 1" on Netflix with my iPhone. In the scene where John uses a hammer to hit the cement floor (Baba Yaga scene), I finally understood what the Sonos ACE was made for – it’s definitely designed with movies in mind.

Additionally, these headphones are the perfect travel companion, especially on a plane. They provide excellent noise cancellation, allowing you to enjoy your music or movies without any disturbances.

一个很棒的功能是，这款耳机可以在晚上连接电视而不打扰其他人，但你需要有一台Beam soundbar才能启用这个功能。如果你像我一样热爱电影和音乐，你一定会喜欢这个功能。

我推荐这款耳机用于流行音乐、舞曲和电子音乐。

佩戴舒适度正常。对我来说，音乐始终是第一位的，不舒服的问题不是主要考虑因素，只要不超过2小时佩戴。

最后，我用我的iPhone在Netflix上观看了《疾速追杀1》。在John用锤子敲打水泥地面的场景（Baba Yaga场景）中，我终于明白了Sonos ACE的设计初衷——它显然是为了电影而生的。

此外，这款耳机是旅行时，特别是在飞机上，最好的伴侣。它们提供出色的降噪效果，让你可以毫无干扰地享受音乐或电影。
