Her childhood ~ my motherhood
I saw a reel recently and I can’t remember who it’s from I’m sorry that said we shouldn’t turn the volume down on our own lives when we have littles and I actually couldn’t agree more.
Yes my camera roll is now full of photos of her, yes we have naps to think about but I, we, us, didn’t just disappear the moment we gave birth, we evolved, we grew, we expanded into family.
I want to celebrate and make my motherhood as magical as it can be, not just for her childhood but also for me. Not only for her to see an example of a happy, comfortable woman, but also for me being a happy comfortable woman…

This wasn't our typical morning...Vince fully took over and ended up doing way more activities than normal. And that 20-second nap he was trying to prevent happening actually meant she didn't nap for the rest of the day!

No video tonight because I prioritised family time and had a beach day on what might be our first and last of the year as the weather is about to change here with a big storm due this week. Maidie had such a beautiful day for first beach day!
Coming up we have:
- 20th packing with a 9 month old
- 21st travel to Windsor
- 22nd exploring Windsor
- 23rd Windsor & Vince’s gig, plus Auntie Lulu takes over
- 24th travelling back
- 25th beach day

While it’s week 19 in terms of videos it’s actually week 29 here, yes I’m 10 whole weeks behind 🫠 but it means I’m never posting my shorts, they get posted on Instagram (@emie_vince) but never to here, so I have a question for you, do we just carry on as we are not doing them or shall I start posting them in real time, even though it doesn’t match where we are with videos?

@djmikevince never gets to see any of the videos before they go live! Each time one goes live we sit down and watch it together! Did you see our trip to Poland? I have never been before and I cannot even tell you how much we loved it!
We explored the beautiful countryside and Warsaw, my biggest takeaway was just how cheap everything was compared to here in Devon!
I'd highly highly recommend a trip!
