After the recent Yoshi video popping off and doing 800% more views than I expected, yall inspired me to really try harder (pun?) on youtube & deliver some banger content.

My original timeline (previous post) has changed due to the surging growth in skill I'm getting in Video Editing. So I can't promise the previous per-month guidelines, they just aren't realistic while I'm still learning skills in Adobe Software atm. Once I'm more capable, timetables & deadlines can actually be enforced without copious amounts of compromise!

Let's break down the Content Pipeline:


1) Next upload will be a Mario Maker 2 video. Beating a bunch of levels atm and trying to find the most entertaining one to edit a video on. Any suggestions or level codes? Gimme in the comments!

2) Upgrades were ordered! I have better lighting and an improved controller cam coming for future Yoshi videos (current setup is pretty jank)

3) Leveling up my Premiere Pro & After Effects skills. For the nerds, I'm specifically learning Motion Graphics to help with visual aid on commentary during Yoshi and Mario. (need to be able to circle stuff and point arrows at things!)

4) YT Shorts got expanded to 3min and will be fully-implemented on youtube in "coming weeks" (whatever that means), so I wanted to test out some of my sickest Yoshi's Island per-level World Records in that format. I got some pretty sick innovations I think you're gonna like, involving Motion Graphics. So stay tuned!

5) I teased previously on a "Original Yoshi Video that involves World Records" but I'd like to further elaborate that it's specifically an "Ambitious Video serving as a GRAND INTRODUCTION to Yoshi's Island Speedrunning".

My script so far (I do that now) is making this look like a girthy 20min+ video easily, but also the hardest thing I've ever produced cuz my imagined final vid has so many things I don't know how to yet in video editing LOL! Wish me luck. Probably won't be seen until November.

FUTURE) Previous videos of mine that have done well include: Kaizo Yoshi (2023), GameStop Horror Stories (2019), Why I Quit Yugioh (2020) -- & I'd love to bring more of that to y'all once I'm a better video editor. I've also never shown other sides of my interests, such as being a top 100 globally ranked DDR player. I wonder how much interest there is in Fitness, Gaming Exercise & DDR videos? 👀🔥

Let's get right to it, when am I getting back to O.G. YOSHI'S ISLAND that you love and know?

Sooner than you think, but it's a really hard task — My last record in Yoshi was 2015, the meta has advanced a ton in the past 9 years; The WR is really good, Chilean Speedrunner Calco⁽¹⁾⁽²⁾⁽³⁾ has done amazing work; and naturally, I'm rusty from being away for so long — I'll need to do a lot of prep and unrusting before I feel confident.

Pictured is the road map of content between now and when Yoshi's Island begin. I noticed the Yoshi's Island Kaizo Speedrun⁽⁴⁾ (from April 2023) was my highest viewed video in 5 years and think there's some untapped potential there with that as a short project before we commit (for months) to achieve something in OG Yoshi.

To answer your question directly, the next upload I'm working on involves OG Yoshi. It'll take at least a week — it requires some WRs first ;) — but it's gonna be a super banger, worth the wait! Then Kaizo Yoshi will make a return as another confidence-booster cuz it's a shorter game to achieve something in before going back to OG by December, tentative that I don't overwhelm myself.
