Todays dive into the youtube vault, we have a video I made last year that was a lot of fun to research! While the Scandinavian traditions of Yule get more focus in pagan circles here in America. The reality is that most European Americans are more German than they are Scandinavian. Even if you are like me and fit this mold, I find the Germanic traditions to be just as interesting as the Norse.

Todays look back into the vault! Who can say they were here back when this premiered?
An instagram friend of mine was featured in this small documentary about the Faroe Islands. The documentary had a small release on youtube and got little to no viewership. I couldn't believe it! The production value was so good!

So, I was given permission to release the video to my larger audience at that time. While it has reached a few more people, I believe it is well worth a much larger reception. So! I hope you give it a watch, because it's damn good!

I still get a lot of comments about use of the word “pagan” and whether or not we should still be using it today. In this video I share a lot of my thoughts that I still believe today.

Hey everyone — just a quick update on what’s been going on behind the scenes (for those interested).
I used to make three videos a week (still not sure how I did that!). Then I shifted to one video a week to focus more on quality, which became a huge turning point for the channel. Lately, though, I’ve only released two videos in the past two months.

To be honest? It’s been killing me. I miss creating videos and diving into this work here on YouTube — but life has been getting in the way. Thankfully, not all for bad reasons.

About a year ago, YouTube stopped being a sustainable way for me to make a living. So, I went back to the workforce while I searched for my “next thing” — something that still let me live my soul’s purpose while making ends meet in this wild world. It took most of the year, but I finally found that next path: tattooing.

Of course, learning to tattoo properly takes time (and rightly so). Right now, I work my “survival job” four days a week, spend two days at the tattoo studio, and have one day to rest, recover, and prepare to do it all over again.
That schedule hasn’t left much time for YouTube — and I hate that. But there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. By early 2026, I hope to be balancing both YouTube and tattooing as my full-time path. That vision truly excites me; I just need to keep my head down a little longer.

Even while my focus has been on tattooing, I’ve had so many new video ideas — all waiting in my notebook for the right time to bring them to life. I want to give each one the attention and respect it deserves.
In the meantime, I do have a few small projects in the works, including a podcast about American Shamanism that I hope to release soon.

I’m also handling event planning for The Fellowship of Northern Traditions’ largest gathering of the year — our Yule event in Kentucky. If you’re interested, we still have spots available: www.northerntraditions.org/
