Temitope Ogunwale, professionally known as Temi OG, is a self-taught visual artist based in Lagos, Nigeria, originally from Osun State. Her creative journey began in high school, where drawing came naturally, but she started pursuing art professionally in January 2021. What began with commissioned pencil portraits for family and friends evolved into deeply expressive personal works exploring themes of mental health, human emotion, and the intricacies of the human face.

Temi is particularly drawn to portraiture, finding beauty and narrative in facial features from the eyes to the lips, ears, and expressions that capture raw, unfiltered emotion.

Temi began painting in 2024, inspired by a conversation with Nigerian artist Kingsley Ayogwu at an exhibition in 2023.
For Temi, art is not just a craft; it is a personal journey, reflective, healing, and deeply human.
