Gas Cylinder Safety Checklist

Gas cylinders must be stored upright in well-ventilated, dry areas, secured to prevent falling, and kept away from heat, direct sunlight, and ignition sources. Never drop, drag, or roll cylinders; use a dedicated cart. Always close valves when not in use, use compatible regulators, and separate empty/full or flammable/oxidizing gases.
Safe Storage and Handling

Storage Location: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated, and secure area, preferably outdoors. Never store in basements, near elevators, or in high-traffic, enclosed spaces.
Vertical Position: Keep cylinders upright and secured to a wall or fixed structure with chains or racks.
Temperature Control: Keep away from heat sources and direct sunlight; temperatures must not exceed
Moving Cylinders: Use a specialized cylinder cart or trolley. Never drag, slide, or roll cylinders, and do not lift them by the valve cap.
Separation: Maintain at least 20 feet (approx. 6 meters) between flammable gases and oxidizing agents (like oxygen).
Valve Protection: Always keep the protective valve cap in place when the cylinder is not in use or during transport.
