How to Obtain Total Pardon of Sins and Punishment on Divine Mercy Sunday
(April 27, 2025)

Do you want to obtain total pardon of sins and punishment? Jesus promised to Saint Faustina Kowalska that He can give this special privilege to those who will fulfill the following conditions on Divine Mercy Sunday.

* This is not to be confused with plenary indulgence, as mentioned in the document published by Saint Pope John Paul II.

In three places in her Diary, Saint Faustina records our Lord's promises of specific, extraordinary graces:


- I want to grant a complete pardon to the souls that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion on the Feast of My mercy (1109).

- Whoever approaches the Fountain of Life on this day will be granted complete forgiveness of sins and punishment (300).

- The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion will obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment (699).

- Aside from these requirement, there is an additional requirement attached to this, which is: fulfilling acts of mercy on the Feast of Mercy.

"Yes, the first Sunday after Easter is the Feast of Mercy, but there must also be acts of mercy" (742).

In summary, we must fulfill all of these to observe Divine Mercy Sunday in a solemn way:


1. Go to Holy Mass on Divine Mercy Feast on the Sunday after Easter;

2. Receive Holy Communion on the day of the Feast;

3. Go to Confession, before or during that Sunday and sincerely repent of your sins.

4. Be merciful to others, through acts of mercy (actions, words, and prayers on their behalf).

5. Venerate the Image of The Divine Mercy (To venerate a sacred image or statue simply means to perform some act or make some gesture of deep religious respect toward it because of the person whom it represents, in this case, our Most Merciful Savior.);

Note: The worthy reception of the Eucharist on Divine Mercy Sunday is sufficient to obtain the extraordinary graces promised by Jesus.
