Continuing with the Speechless theme in my life and journey of the last 25+ years, I thought I’d share some more speechless moments caught on camera. For those who know me best, they will know that me being in pictures with famous athletes is kinda crazy, given that I’m not necessarily the most “sports aware” guy…although my wife has been working on me for the last 40 years, and I’m doin’ a lot better! “ROLL TIDE” and all! Anyway, here are some reminders of some of the amazing and gifted people that God has allowed Mary Beth and me to cross paths with on our journey!
1 - Huggin’ it out with Ali “The Greatest” (and yeah, Bruce Willis snuck in there too!)
2 - Hangin’ w/ Hulk
3 - Chillin’ with “The Real Deal” Holyfield (& Will Franklin)
4 - Posin’ w/Pelé
5 - Grabbin’ a shot w/ “The Great One” Gretzky!
See… at least I know the athletes’ nicknames! 😉

In keeping with the theme of Speechless (as the tour approaches) I thought I’d share some other “speechless moments” from my amazing journey through the years…those “taste and SEE the Lord is good” moments that left me with no words other than just “Thank You, Jesus!” This was a moment in the jungles of Ecuador with Steve Saint (son of missionary pilot Nate Saint, who was killed along with Jim Elliot and 3 others by men of an indigenous tribe they were trying to reach with the Gospel) and Mincaye (one of the men who attacked and killed those missionaries, before being transformed into a follower of Jesus, a missionary himself and a dear friend of mine.) After I visited with Steve and Mincaye in the jungle (I even got to take my boys with me!) they came in the studio with me to record a “song” together, and then out on tour with me to share their amazing story…Still “Speechless” that God let me be a part of it!
