요즘 진료가 끝난 뒤에는 흉터 교과서를 쓰고 있습니다.

해외 흉터 학회에서 만난 선생님의 제안으로 시작하게 되었고,
브라질, 인도 등 여러 나라의 흉터 전문가들이 함께 참여하는 책입니다.

제가 맡은 부분은 수술 후 흉터와 외상성 흉터 치료.

특히 입가, 인중, 눈가처럼 많이 움직여 치료가 까다로운 부위의 흉터들을 중심으로
제가 실제 진료하면서 쌓아온 경험과 증례들을 다시 정리하고 있습니다.

이 내용 중 일부는 오는 9월 일본에서 열리는 피부과 학회에서도 발표할 예정입니다.

오래 치료해온 분야인데도
글로 정리하다 보면 다시 공부하게 됩니다.

These days, after clinic, I’ve been working on a textbook on scar treatment.

It started with an invitation from a colleague I met at an international scar meeting, and the book brings together scar experts from several countries, including Brazil and India.

My section focuses on post-surgical and traumatic scars.

In particular, I’m writing about scars in challenging, highly mobile areas such as the perioral region, philtrum, and around the eyes, drawing on the cases and clinical experience I’ve accumulated over the years.

I’ll also be presenting some of this work at a dermatology meeting in Japan this September.

Even in a field I’ve worked in for a long time, putting it into words always makes me study it again.

지난 1월 3일, 작년 10월에 이어
국내 미용시술 부작용 TF 2차 회의에 다녀왔습니다.

이번 회의는 국내 부작용 가이드라인의
초안을 세우기 위해
전문가들과 모여 각 파트별 자료를
조사하고 발표하는 자리였습니다.

사실 저희 병원에도 부작용 치료를 위해
멀리서 찾아오시는 분들이 계신데요.
이렇게 진료와 상담을 진행하며
이런 표준화된 가이드라인의 필요성을
크게 느끼곤 합니다.

이번 TF의 목표는 임상 현장에서
즉시 활용 가능한 실질적인 자료를
만드는 것으로,
이 가이드라인이 완성되어
더 많은 분들이 더 안전한 시술을 받을 수 있는
환경이 되기를 진심으로 바라며
앞으로의 회의들도 열심히 참여하겠습니다!

On January 3rd, following our first meeting last October, I attended the 2nd session of the National Task Force (TF) for Aesthetic Procedure Complications.

This meeting was a collaborative session where experts gathered to research and present data for each specialized sector, with the goal of establishing the initial draft of the National Complication Guidelines.

In my own practice, I often meet patients who travel from afar specifically for complication treatments. Through these consultations and treatments, I have deeply felt the urgent need for such standardized guidelines.

The objective of this TF is to develop practical, high-quality resources that can be immediately utilized in clinical settings. I sincerely hope that these guidelines will create an environment where more patients can receive safer procedures. I remain fully committed to participating in all upcoming meetings to see this through!

I am honored to announce that I have been selected as a World Class Faculty Member for SCARS 2026, the premier international congress that gathers the world’s leading experts in scar treatment.

This year’s SCARS congress will take place in Milan, Italy, for three days from January 16th to 18th.

Representing South Korea, I will be delivering a lecture on January 17th regarding the latest advancements and clinical approaches to acne scar and surgical scar treatments.

It is a true privilege to stand alongside the most influential authorities in the global field of scar remodeling and share the clinical expertise and treatment experiences I have cultivated over the years.

Last November, I shared the results of a 3-month intensive clinical study on the LinearZ × V-Olet combination through a webinar for medical professionals.

Usually, we first think of 'liposuction' surgery when facial contouring is needed. However, as much as the fear of surgery, the 'skin sagging' that occurs in areas where fat has been removed is a major concern.

In this study, I established a protocol to complete a firm line by ensuring definite fat reduction while densely filling in elasticity through the synergy of LinearZ.

We recently had the pleasure of spending time with Director Dr. Jieun Song from our Director Frankfurt clinic in Germany, who visited us in Korea after a long time.

지난 23일, 연세대학교 의과대학에서
진행된 카데바 워크숍에
주사 시술 교육 교수진으로 참여했습니다.

이번 워크숍은 필러·레디어스 등 주사 기반 시술을
진행하시는 원장님들과 함께
안전한 시술을 위한 해부학적 구조 이해 및 테크닉을
연구하는 자리였습니다.

저는 시술 부작용 TF 위원으로 활동하며
해부학적 안전 가이드라인 구축에 참여해 왔기 때문에
이번 워크숍에서는 교육 교수진으로서
얼굴 깊이와 층별 해부학 구조,
필러·레디어스 시술 시 안전하게 접근하는 기준 등을
실시간으로 가이드하는 역할을 맡았습니다.

이번 워크숍에서 공유한
주사 기반 시술의 안전 가이드라인과 프로세스는
저희 디렉터 네트워크 전 지점 원장님들과
공유하고 있고, 동일하게 적용되고 있기 때문에

On December 23rd, I participated as a faculty instructor for injection procedures at the Cadaver Workshop held at Yonsei University College of Medicine.

This highly focused workshop brought together medical directors specializing in injectable treatments (including Fillers and Radiesse) to research and share essential knowledge on anatomical structures and advanced techniques for maximizing procedural safety.

As a dedicated member of the Task Force (TF) Committee for procedural side effects, I have been actively involved in establishing anatomical safety guidelines. In my role as a faculty instructor at this workshop, I provided real-time guidance on critical factors such as facial depth, layered anatomical structures, and standardized criteria for safe needle/cannula access during Filler and Radiesse injections.

The safety guidelines and injection procedure protocols shared during this educational session are now being disseminated and uniformly applied across all physicians within our Director Clinic. This commitment guarantees that every patient visiting any of our branches receives safe, consistent treatment based on the same high standards and clinical philosophy.

Director Network will continue to dedicate itself to upholding safe procedures as our foremost priority.

Last month, we were honored to host a visit from leading dermatologists from Japan, who are highly active in both clinical practice and research.

It was a very meaningful and privileged occasion for me, as this esteemed group included prominent female principals who are currently leading their respective fields in Tokyo and Osaka.

During this meeting, we shared real-world cases of stretch mark and scar treatments utilizing CureJet, along with Director Network's unique treatment protocols based on various combinations of medications and devices.

We also introduced a CureJet improvement case for deep forehead wrinkles, performed by Director Kang Sang-ho of our Ulsan branch. The physicians showed deep interest upon viewing the before-and-after changes, meticulously documenting the specific drugs, parameters, and treatment protocols in their prepared notes, and engaging in a professional exchange of many questions.

This naturally led me to share even more clinical information, resulting in a truly meaningful time for the mutual exchange of clinical know-how.

In the demo session, they personally confirmed the procedure’s technique and depth from close range, and experienced the actual operation of CureJet through a demonstration on the back of the hand.

This encounter deeply reaffirmed my belief that the ‘commitment to achieving excellent treatment outcomes’ is a single goal that connects practitioners across national borders. Moving forward, Director Network will continue to establish safer and more sophisticated treatment standards through such international exchanges.

10월에는 해외 의료진분들을
대상으로 한 교육이 많았는데,
🇹🇼그중 대만 의료진분들을 대상으로 진행한
큐어젯 시술 교육도 있었습니다.

이번 교육에서는 스킨부스터와 큐어젯을 활용한
흉터와 튼살 치료에 대해 다뤘는데요.
먼 거리에도 불구하고 대만 의료진분들이
큰 관심을 가지고 방문해 주셨습니다.

올해는 인도네시아 의료진분들을 대상으로 한
큐어젯 흉터 치료 교육도 진행했는데,
이처럼 여러 국가의 의료진분들이
큐어젯 교육을 위해 찾아주시는 모습을 보며
국내뿐 아니라 해외에서도 큐어젯에 대한
관심이 매우 높다는 것을 느꼈습니다.

그리고 많은 해외 의료진 분들께
큐어젯 교육을 진행할 수 있었던 이유는

오랜 기간 의료진 대상 교육을 이어오며

I had the pleasure of conducting several training sessions for international medical professionals, 🇹🇼including a CureJect procedure training specifically for medical team members from Taiwan.

During this session, we covered scar and stretch mark treatment using a combination of skin boosters and CureJect. Despite the long journey, the Taiwanese medical team showed great enthusiasm and dedication in visiting us.

This year, we also hosted a CureJect scar treatment training for medical professionals from Indonesia. Seeing doctors from various countries seek out this training confirms that the interest in CureJect is incredibly high, not just domestically but globally.

The interview I did recently on scar treatment using CureJet and Juvelook
has now been featured in Medical Aesthetic magazine.

CureJet has shown effective results in treating hypertrophic scars,
depressed acne scars, and scars that are deeply adhered in small areas—
cases that can be difficult to improve with conventional devices.
Because of this, it has been receiving a lot of attention from physicians
during academic seminars and clinical trainings, and it is also one of the treatments
that many patients frequently inquire about.

CureJet improves scars through two key mechanisms.
First, it delivers regenerative agents precisely to the targeted layer
to promote collagen production.
Second, the micro-shockwave generated during the injection process
releases adhesion within the skin and remodels the abnormal scar tissue,
allowing new collagen to form and helping the treated area
blend more naturally with the surrounding skin.

Since the regenerative agents are delivered at a speed of 500 m/s
through microscopic channels, there is minimal redness or scabbing after treatment,
resulting in a shorter recovery period.

However, the appropriate agents and combination treatments may vary depending on
the scar’s location, depth, pattern, and the patient’s skin type.

💎지난 2월부터 참여해온 연구가 마무리되어

💎 The research project I’ve been involved in since February has concluded, and I’m excited to share the official Korean Guideline for Radiesse for Hand Rejuvenation!

The skin on the hands is thin with minimal subcutaneous fat, making the dorsum of the hand an area where signs of aging and loss of elasticity are particularly noticeable. It's one of the most frequently requested areas during patient consultations.

While Radiesse has long been widely used for hand skin improvement—having received prior FDA approval—this latest update to the Korean Treatment Guideline will enable even safer and more systematic procedures going forward.

During the research process, I personally performed the Radiesse procedure on both myself and my mother's hands. We both saw a distinct improvement, noticing smoother and brighter skin tone.

I was especially delighted that my mother's case, which showed excellent results, was included as a clinical example in the domestic guideline! ☺️

I truly hope this guideline can offer an effective solution for those concerned about hand aging and for the medical professionals who receive numerous inquiries about this topic. 💜
