Greetings!
My name is Charlie Franks and I have been performing and entertaining for over 55 years. In 2020, I underwent a life-changing spinal surgery, which left me unable to walk or stand well and unable to perform my show the way I had been able to.
After spending 2-3 years in my bed, “waiting to die”, I felt the Lord calling me back to ministry. I had always joked with my friends that, ”If The Lord wants me back in ministry, He would have to drag me kicking and screaming!" This was about as close as I wanted to be to “kicking and screaming”!
I have since been writing and recording Contemporary Christian songs that come from a real place—honest, gritty, and filled with hope. When I’m not singing or writing, you’ll probably find me behind the mic doing voiceover work. From characters to commercials, I love bringing stories to life—with a studio full of voices and a heart full of purpose.
