The Robotic Life-Exploring the future of Robotics
🚀 BIG NEWS, ROBOTIC LIFE FAM! 🚀
We’ve officially moved into our brand-new, purpose-built YouTube studio, and we are BEYOND excited to show you around!
For the longest time, we were making do with temporary spaces. The transformation has been an absolute journey. Let’s take a look at the "Before" vs. the incredible "After."
➡️ The "Before" – Humble Beginnings!
This corner of the house served us well, but it was cozy to say the least!
This was the nerve center: a small corner with some basic wood paneling, our main microphone boom, and a messy storage bin. Oh, and those lovely colorful wall flowers? We decided they had to go!
This is what the full setup looked like from a wider view. One desk, one camera on a tripod, and that giant softbox taking up almost all the walking room. It worked, but it was a logistical challenge!
➡️ The Construction Zone – Hard Work in Progress!
We knew that to upgrade our content, we needed to upgrade our space from the ground up.
The transformation began! We stripped the walls down to a neutral light beige. Out went the wall flowers and in came a clean slate. This temporary sawhorse workbench saw a lot of action during build days.
Every good renovation needs a step ladder! Here we are in the middle of clearing out the old carpet to make way for... well, you’ll see. But the walls are clean, and the vision is set.
➡️ THE AFTER – WELCOME HOME!
This is where the magic happens now! It’s clean, it’s modern, and it feels truly "Robotic Life."
The showpiece: This incredible dark slatted acoustic wall paneling. It not only looks professional, but it completely changed the audio game for the better. The rest of the room is crisp white, highlighting the contrast. (Don’t mind the paint bucket, we were just finishing up!)
Meet your host! Here’s a sneak peek of how professional the new acoustic wall looks on camera, framing the very first intro in the new space. The lighting is dialed, the sound is sharp, and we are ready.
We cannot wait to bring you cleaner, higher-quality videos and much more behind-the-scenes content on robotics, automation, and tech in this new space. This studio is a testament to your support—we couldn’t have done it without this incredible community.
First new video drops this weekend! Make sure your notifications are ON. 🔔

The Robotic Life-Exploring the future of Robotics
2025 isn’t the year of the robot… it’s the year billions of dollars said robots are about to change everything.
Humanoids. Surgical bots. Food robots. Brain implants.
The biggest VCs and tech giants are pouring money into robotics at a pace we’ve never seen before.
So where is the money actually going?
And what does that tell us about the future of work, business, and daily life?
On this episode of The Robotic Life, Lars breaks down the funding map, the real players, and why capital is signaling that robotics is no longer science fiction — it’s business reality.
Because the money always speaks first.

The CES 2026 Fallout: Why "The Robot Summer" is Finally Here
By Lars of the Robotic Life
I spent the last week glued to the CES 2026 livestreams, technical keynotes, and deep-dive reports coming out of the North Hall. Even from behind a screen, one thing is undeniably clear: The era of "The Research Demo" is dead. If you’ve been following this channel, you know we’ve seen countless "chore videos" that were clearly sped up or teleoperated. But CES 2026 was the moment the industry collectively showed its receipts. Here is my take on what actually matters from this year's show.
1. The "5,000 Unit" Benchmark 🏭
The most shocking stat didn't come from a flashy video, but from AgiBot’s US market debut. They didn't just show up with a prototype; they announced they have already shipped 5,000 mass-produced units.
While we’ve been waiting for the "Big Three" (Tesla, Boston Dynamics, Figure) to hit the gas, the supply chain in the East is already scaling. Seeing their full lineup—from the industrial G2 to the hospitality-focused A2—tells me that the "Humanoid Labor Shortage" might be solved much faster than the Western market predicted.
2. Physical AI: The Brains are Finally Generalizing 🧠
We have to talk about NVIDIA’s Cosmos and GR00T N1.6. For years, robots were "over-fitted"—trained to do one specific task in one specific lighting condition.
The Take: NVIDIA is turning into the "Windows" of the robotics world. By providing the world models (Cosmos) and the reasoning engines (GR00T), they are allowing smaller startups to leapfrog years of R&D.
Real-World Impact: We saw 1X’s NEO demonstrate its new "World Model" that allows it to perform tasks from a simple voice prompt even if it has zero prior experience with that specific task. That is the "ChatGPT moment" for physical movement.
3. The Battle for the "Zero Labor Home" 🏠
This was the most competitive segment of the show. We saw a clear split in philosophy:
The "Premium" Approach: LG’s CLOiD and the electric Atlas (now under Hyundai) are targeting the high-end industrial and "luxury home" markets. These are $30k+ machines with high degrees of freedom and incredible lift capacities.
The "Disruptor" Approach: SwitchBot’s onero H1 stole the show by focusing on a wheeled-base humanoid. By sacrificing legs for a stable, wheeled platform, they’ve managed to create a bot that handles laundry and dishes at a price point that actually makes sense for a middle-class household.
My Final Verdict: No More Moving Goalposts
For a decade, the "Humanoid Future" has been "two years away." Looking at the production-ready hardware from Unitree, the software maturity from NVIDIA, and the firm 2026 delivery dates from 1X, the goalposts have stopped moving.
We are no longer asking if these robots will work; we are now asking how we’re going to manage the privacy and safety of having them in our homes.
What do you think? Now that the specs and prices are finally public, which of these bots would you actually trust in your living room?
Let's get into it in the comments.

The Robotic Life-Exploring the future of Robotics
The internet is losing it over this footage. 🤯 EngineAI CEO Zhao Tongyang just took a full-force kick to the chest from the T-800 humanoid to prove their tech isn't CGI.
He survived (thanks to the armor), but it raises a massive question for the robotics industry: Is "Combat Testing" a brilliant way to build the world’s most stable robots, or is naming a fighter "T-800" just asking for a PR disaster? 🤖🥊
I did a deep dive into the business strategy and the hardware behind this Shenzhen "Terminator."
Watch the full analysis here: [INSERT LINK TO YOUR 11-MINUTE VIDEO]
Poll Question: What’s your take on EngineAI’s "CEO vs. T-800" stunt?
