The 2025 Conlang Census, put together by AgmaSchwa and the other Big Lang members, is now up: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdm57Se2cFyF_D2gX…
As always, anyone who has any interest in conlanging is encouraged to participate, even if you haven’t made any conlangs yourself and just enjoy consuming conlanging content. Once there's enough data, Agma Schwa will make a video about the results on his channel: youtube.com/@AgmaSchwa

For this year’s Lexember, I’ve teamed up with David and Jessie Peterson from @LangTimeStudio , @MadelineJamesWorldbuilds , Jake and Miles from @LetsHaveaBouba, and George Corley from @conlangery to create a list of daily prompts to cover the whole of December. We’ve divided up the month between us and each come up with a set of daily prompts based around a unique theme for our portion of the month. I’ll be coining new words for Taqva-miir (the language I’ve been making in the Conlang Case Study series), which I’ll be sharing in daily videos throughout the month. See George’s video here for more details: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfHGu...

My friend Madeline James has just launched her new channel @MadelineJamesWorldbuilds as a home for her worldbuilding content to go along with her writing content on her original channel @madelinejameswrites. Her worldbuilding guide is very approachable and covers everything from physical geography and mapmaking to the development of cultures and civilizations. Go check out her stuff if you haven’t already.

My newest video is now up for early access viewing on Patreon, and the final version will go live on Tuesday at 5 pm UTC. It tackles the question of whether or not aliens would be safe for humans to eat (this came up a lot while I was working on Alien Biospheres, so I wanted to answer it once and for all, especially since I couldn't find any similar videos or other resources that properly delved into the subject). The only issue is that I suck at chemistry, so I asked my good friends Miles Wronkovich from @LetsHaveaBouba and @LoganKearsley (both of whom know a lot more about chemistry than I do) to check over everything and make sure my line of reasoning made sense. It’s a bit different from my usual style of content, but I hope you still find it interesting.
This was a relatively quick and easy video to make while I work on bigger projects. The next video will almost certainly be the first episode of the domestication/agriculture/civilizations series that will pick up from where Alien Biospheres left off. As is on-brand for me, it keeps getting bigger and more complex the more I work on it, but I'm trying to keep each of the episodes fairly short and manageable, so that once I finish the full outline for the whole series, I’m hoping that I’ll be able to get each of the episodes out on a more or less monthly basis. Meanwhile, I'm also working on the new Conlang tutorial series, for which, due to the way it's structured, I need to have the entire outline finalized before I can start making the episodes, which I’m hoping can happen within the next few months.
So, in short, there’s a lot of stuff coming up, and it’s all been very fun to work on so far. I’ll post another update once I've finished the script for the next video.
