India Post, through India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), is utilizing its vast postal network — including Postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks equipped with smartphones and biometric devices — to deliver doorstep Aadhaar services, beginning with mobile number updates.

This service is designed to benefit senior citizens and those in rural and remote areas, ensuring they no longer need to travel long distances to update their Aadhaar details.

As mobile number linkage with Aadhaar is essential for accessing government subsidies (DBT), PAN-ITR, mobile SIMs, bank accounts, and other key services, this initiative furthers digital inclusion and service accessibility.
