🔥 Thoughts from Attending Trent Shelton’s Live Legendary 🔥

Life has a funny way of connecting dots.

Two months ago, I had heard of Trent Shelton but had never seen him live.
A month ago, I randomly met him at dinner.
And last week, I found myself at his Live Legendary event.

People often assume speakers are all extroverts who “own the room.” Truth is, most of us are introverts. We take the stage not because we crave attention, but because we have a message bigger than ourselves.

I couldn’t make the Friday VIP day (I was speaking at another event), but even Saturday alone blew me away. Honestly, when I saw the $39 ticket price, I thought it was a mistake. Trent wanted to make it accessible for anyone — and it showed.

Here were my biggest takeaways:
✅ If you don’t choose YOU, the world will choose for you.
✅ The cost of not choosing yourself is living a life that never feels like yours.
✅ Never let how THEY feel about you change how YOU feel about yourself.

A few more gems that stuck with me:
💡 When you hoard your gifts, others suffer.
💡 Your life isn’t multiplied through possessions, but through purpose.
💡 Legacy isn’t what happens after you die. It’s how you live every day.
💡 You don’t have to change THE world, just SOMEONE’S world.

The event had it all — mentors like Dean Graziosi, voices Trent has mentored like Marcus Black, plus powerful performances and stories that hit home.

👉 My reminder to you: invest in events, masterminds, and rooms like this. They give you perspective, fuel, and tools that stay with you long after the lights go down.

🦇 Why I’ve Always Been Team Batman…

Since I was a kid, Batman was my favorite “superhero.”
But let’s be honest — he’s kind of miscategorized.
🟥 He doesn’t fly like Superman 🟦 He’s not immortal like Wonder Woman 🟩 And he definitely doesn’t talk to fish (sorry, Aquaman)
Yet somehow…He holds his own among all of them. 💪

In fact, in one animated episode, Batman secretly had a plan to defeat every other superhero — just in case they ever turned evil.

So what does make him a superhero? 🔑 Consistent training 🧠 Relentless learning ⚡ Taking action, even without powers
That always stuck with me.

Sure, Batman had money — but that’s not what made him powerful.
What made him dangerous… was that he never stopped learning. 📚

That’s how I try to approach my life and my business.

I’m always studying:Books. Podcasts. Events. People.

Because the more I understand how people tick, the better I can connect with them — or help them even when they don’t know they need it.

And no, I didn’t read the comics… but I grew up on Adam West, animated series Batman, and the movies (minus that last one — we don’t talk about it 😅).

🦇 In a world chasing shortcuts, Batman reminds us:Mastery is earned — not given.

🔥 Want your team to develop real-world superpowers in communication, leadership, and emotional intelligence?

Let’s train them like Batman would — with precision, discipline, and real skills that get results.

🎯 The Smaller the Room, the BIGGER the Impact

Don’t get me wrong — I love a big stage. There’s power in impacting hundreds (or thousands) at once.
But when it comes to real transformation?

Smaller rooms win. Every time.

Here’s why ⬇️💬 Large group = Presentation🧠 Small group = Conversation

Last week, I spent 3 days training a company that brought together multiple departments. And what happened was magic.✨

We didn’t just teach soft skills like:✅ Body language✅ Statement analysis✅ Decoding facial features
…we applied them to real, specific challenges right in the room.

When one department opened up, the others gained clarity too.
Because while our roles may differ — the solutions are often universal.

🔥 Why Small Sessions Work:✔️ Safe space to ask deeper questions✔️ Break silos across departments✔️ Strengthen team connection✔️ Dive into root issues, not just surface-level advice✔️ Make participants feel seen, heard, and invested in
It’s the same reason President’s Club trips are invite-only — impact is magnified in small, focused groups.

🗓️ Big annual events set the tone…But small, strategic sessions sustain momentum all year long.

If you're planning your next team training, leadership offsite, or departmental reset —✅ Let’s talk about how to make the next room your most impactful one yet.

💥 Everybody Needs a Joe in Their Corner
📍 This week I spoke at a client’s event in Buena Park, CA — but here’s what made it powerful…

That opportunity? It started with a relationship I built back in 2019. 🤝

👤 I met Joe during a virtual mastermind. We clicked — both former sales guys turned teachers and trainers.Since then, we’ve stayed in touch through:💬 Texts📲 DMs💻 Zooms📱 Social media

🌍 During the pandemic, Joe introduced me to Clubhouse, which helped grow my brand… and honestly, it saved my sanity. 🙏

Here’s the crazy part:We didn’t even meet in person until late 2021 when Joe came to my first ever live speaking event in Vegas. 🎤

🧠 My first official paid gig? That came after I was a guest on Joe’s podcast when he interviewed Steve Sims.Even though I thought I fumbled the interview, I followed up with Steve…
➡️ That led to me speaking at his San Diego Speakeasy in 2022.

Despite only meeting in person a handful of times, Joe’s been:✔️ A sounding board✔️ A truth-teller (even when it’s hard)✔️ A solid friend across thousands of miles

💡 Moral of the story:A 6-year digital friendship led to a life-changing opportunity and a powerful ally in my journey.

👀 So here’s your challenge:Next time you’re on a Zoom call, attending a live event, or in a virtual mastermind…
Ask yourself:
“Who could be my Joe?”
Someone who pushes you, supports you, and wants to see you win. 🏆

Because in this digital world, your 5 closest influences might not be in your city…
They might be on your screen.

🔥 Go find your Joe (or your Jane). It could change everything.

Stages Like This Used to Terrify Me. Now They Excite Me!

I always loved teaching people.

When I was in Corporate American, I loved going to customer sites.

If you know my story I started on the Helpdesk back in 2001 and quickly got bored with being on the 2nd shift void of any human contact so I moved to Manufacturing and Installation.

After an Install when onsite you then had to turn around and teach people thus the role of corporate trainer kicked in. After than it was Sales Engineer, Account Manager, Senior Account Manager, Director, and then RVP. Hell at one point I was part of a Pro Demo Team that was flown around the US to do presentations to customers for contracts over $1 Million.

With all that being said those gigs were easy because I was HIDING BEHIND A PRODUCT.

When moving into the Speaking world it became about me. I couldn’t hide behind a laptop screen and just demo things and thats when things changed.

My first talk in front of 50 people included:
* Heart Palpitations
* Excessive Sweating
* Shaking Hands
* Nervous stuttering
* Etc

What changes to the pictures you see?

Repetition: This is the first step to any skill from brushing your teeth to getting into physical shape.
* We all suck at the beginning
* You only get better by speaking
* Speak for free, for exposure
* Speak to learn to craft your talk, to learn your stride
* Get on Podcast, Get in front of Groups, Get on Stages
Coaching: Learn from people who have DONE it.
Find someone who has been where you want to be, who can pass along the voice of experience versus being educated in it.

BETTER advice is to get coaching from people who are CURRENTLY DOING IT.
* Just like any industry the speaking world is constantly changing
* If someone isn’t currently doing what you want to do they can give you good advice but not great advice.
I share this because people often think they can’t do something because they only see the finished product not the work that took place behind the scenes. What you see in Public has been WELL REHEARSED in Private.

When People feel SEEN and HEARD they SMILE!

These are all pictures from last week’s event. After I give my keynote I invite volunteers from the audience to come up and have their faces analyzed in front of the rest of the room

What do you notice about everyone in these pictures?

They all started out with very STOIC faces

They all left with big SMILES

This is what happens 99% of the time when someone volunteers to have their Facial Features Analyzed

————————————————————
Thats because people have 4 Basic Human Needs
1. Physical Safety
2. Emotional Safety
3. They want to feel Seen and Heard
4. They want to feel connected

Learning to Decode Facial Features helps people #3 and #4

And that is why is such a POWERFUL skill that you need to add to you skill set

EMBRACE THE SUCK

This is a hard picture for me to look at sometimes

While pic shows a crowd standing and applauding…..it was a PITY APPLAUSE

It was after my first official stage (that @newbodylanguage gave up some of her time to give me) and I was NOT good!

I was SHAKING

I was TREMBLING

I FORGOT my content

Despite all of that I was HOOKED

Why do I share this?

Because I know where some of you ARE

Where you want to GO

GET OUT THERE!

Be willing to SUCK!

That’s what leads to IMPROVEMENT

Perfection is an illusion. Every Speaker, Every Trainer has BOMBED

It’s a combination of 2 things:

1. Be willing to put yourself out there

2. Focus on the VALUE instead of YOU
